Guardian or Engineer now, and in the future
If you’re looking at optimal composititons for speedruns, Guardian is usually preferred over Engineer in most cases. Engineers are like a jack of all trades, being able to stealth like a thief, might like an ele, wall like a guard, and solo cap on vulnerability like a boss, which makes carrying pugs a little bit easier if you know what you’re doing. If you have competent party members who know what they’re doing, all these things are usually already covered by their respective classes. Therefore, guardians make the better choice. If you want to play a meta defensive supportive role, I’d suggest you try guardian out first.
well guardians have hammers now, and engineers will get hammers in the future
so go with what can use hammers
cuz hammers are cool
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions

Agreed. Go Revenant.
Go for Juggy. Now and in the future.

Now that you mention it, I wonder if rev’s juggy will have its own projectiles
Hello, I came back to GW2 some weeks ago, and I have been debating what class I want to pick as my “main character”. My main focus is pve, with very little to no pvp interest, and guardian and engineer have had alot of success it seems with being the support role. I was wondering which one would you guys recommend for pve/fractals as far as a character that will be the most beneficial to the group.
Thanks!
Both have their own unique uses in dungeons, with guardians providing active defences like blinds and aegis, and engis being able to keep a boss at 25 vuln on their own.
Basically play whatever feels like more fun to you, you’ll probably end up trying out the other classes later anyways.
