The point is to show the flaw in current meta. Not to pick the best X. The problem is the elestack.

Records are about maximizing dps, so i guess you could say taking the most damaging profession is quite normal. If they nerf FGS, you’d still take at least 2 eles for might/fury/ proj. absorbtion/swiftness/aoe burst and dps. Ele/ele/thief/guardian/warrior, or something like that?

Do they have enough boon strips to keep the robot completely unbuffed? That + positioning (though you could use LH) would be the reason I love mesmer in COE. Mesmer makes that Robot very easy, and that plus destroyer are the only ones you can’t FGS to death reliably (you can get robot sometimes but he likes to run away from walls if you try and depend on it). You very much don’t need the utility int he dungeon but I have to say I’m a big fan of Mesmer in there.

I need to test it in game when i’m back, but i had this idea of using a necro in a coe speedrun for P1. You have corrupt boon at first, then chain swirling winds, and then you can use either focus 5 or well of corruption. Then the minions can help doing the 5-0 console easily. I’m just not sure about how they perform with FGS and if that alone would make a necro useful. If it’s not a record, 4 eles+ 1 necro should be a fast run. Yeah, mesmers utilities are always nice to have, but since COE is just a single target burst dungeon, it’s the best place to use a necro. But again, I didn’t test it myself, it’s just an idea.

because obviously once FGS is nerfed, Ele’s damage will be so pathetic and FGS cannot be used for mobility anymore.

And hopefully after the FGS-Nerf you always don’t need more than 2 elementalists

A Mesmer is good for every places where you can use portal to save time so basically for CM: p2/3 and story, but for daily run, only for p3.

Why are you still arguing and bickering and whining about the fgs when you could do more productive things? Say, er, run dungeons with 4 bearbows? Who forces anyone to play fgs outside of record runs? Do you force it on yourselves? Uh?

Warriors are so mind-numbingly boring to play that I’d rather see 5 ellys in speedruns if I can avoid stacking warriors. Such a dumb class.

Look, I don’t know who the hell caused this uproar on the fgs matter right now while it a was prominent thing for months… whoever it was, you should really stop with all these exaggerations of the problem. It looks foolish and it’s BORING, more exasperating than my rants about pigbows. At least I have the excuse of being mentally challenged.
As if anyone could fall for that… there are enough fake theorycrafting threads out there, made only to stir up some heat and hate.
You can go on with this carnival, this masquerade or whatever it is. A few months down the road, it will be something else’s turn to be ripped apart.

Just expressing my confusion in seeing all the fgs hate flowing in a very short window of time. People arguing about such trivial things make me uncomfortable.
All in all, I think I’m simply cathurt and kitteny because the buff to rangers wasn’t what I was expecting and SAB isn’t coming back. I’m a sad kitty. And bored.

I guess you’re cathurt :/ sorry for you. No idea about the FGS have in a short laps of time, just happened to post it after an evening on TS that was like “Yeh, what dungeon record isn’t better with 3 or 4 eles?” “I don’t think there is one”. Was kind of depressing.
