Gw2lfg.com malware
More likely than anything else is that your Avast is giving you a false positive; Avast is known for that sort of thing. There is also nothing at that URL (though I suspect you truncated the full URL).
I’m thinking people are going to click that link. Maybe it’s a better idea to not post the link? :P
i was just copying and pasting what avast showed me, but you’re right, i’ll delete it
Yeah, I’m not surprised. >.<
Avast puts out false positives all the time. That’s what you get for using free antivirus software >.>
Avast isn’t a good software, and gw2lfg.com doesn’t have any malware.
Please take a few minutes to review the code to find any malicious code:
gw2lfg.com: http://pastebin.com/HeWG2zQT
1st linked javascript: http://pastebin.com/zCJJNTKx
Google analytics: http://www.google-analytics.com/ga.js

Now take the time to review the code and find malicious entry, or stop trying to defame gw2lfg.com
Avast is an awful piece of software to be using to protect your system…
Believe it or not, few years back they got caught sneaking adware/malware into their installations of Avast same goes with another awful antivirus company.
For security I use 2 main Antiviruses (Eset Smart Security & Malwarebytes Anti-Malware), I also use another one for scanning the system after scans on both of my antiviruses are completed (Spybot Search & Destroy), These are the best, never caused me any problems and have always protected me, In my opinion anyway.
As for GW2lfg.com it is perfectly fine.
also:
a scan of the website shows it is fully clean (Source = Virustotal, recently scanned):
using www. – https://www.virustotal.com/url/a8a73c853c409a6852334a1d86dc71e91a3f72bba4397bbadce3c3cb28530f83/analysis/1357266345/
not using www. – https://www.virustotal.com/url/d5aa4b045b740f70eefde060edc27d3959ffce92383b32bb137873398c704c88/analysis/
Website is running fine, but I do agree that it may need to be secured more.

Those scan results show at best only that the website was not cracked by a 3rd party, who simply planted their malware there. If you’re worried about the actual owner (or anyone with shell access) trying to infect visitors, then the only thing those scans prove is that they’re not stupid enough to hand out the malware to those scanning sites. Anyone serious about that stuff would know to whitelist them and to (try to) infect only a fraction of the visitors. Makes them look legit to the majority, and helps to retain a good reputation for as long as possible.
Not implying that there’s anything like that happening, but “I looked/had scanned and it was clean” proves nothing.
If your that worried about a website, then don’t go to it, simple as that.
no need to shun to make something that helps others look bad.
If someone did indeed infect the website we would have heard about it by now, This is a false positive from avast (Typical).
In this case the user of Avast is at fault:

List goes on….
Make sure everything you have on your PC is up-to-date (Java, Flash) for a “Higher” Security, Download Malwarebytes antimalware (Database gets updated regularly, best scheldued for updates at an hourly rate) and run it with Avast (or…just uninstall Avast) (try running website with avast on & off with malwarebytes on)
Also, if you are only using Avast as your only protection..well be prepared for alot of malware/spyware/adware, This antivrus is notoriously bad at protecting users.
Sidenote: If you are using Google Chrome/Firefox to the latest build, Avast will trigger fasle-positives if your addons (Java, Flash etc.) aren’t up-to par.
I Can confirm gw2lfg.com is a clean website, I am on it very often without any Hiccups (both on PC & Smartphone, also using Eset on smartphone) I then downloaded free trial App of Avast, Gave me a False Positive on my smartphone (Uninstalled Avast straight away) Started up Eset again, databases are also regularly updated meaning higher security, and no hiccup from it.
i will NOT download & Install Avast on my PC, simply due to their installers hiding away hidden files across the PC (mostly adware infected) and I never trust Avast due to their “Incident”, so it is up to the avast users, if any, to confirm if it is safe or not safe, but for me it is safe.
EDIT: not saying any of this to “Defame” a company and what not, I am only speaking the truth and my opinion on this certain company/software.

Can I please have a link to a story about avast “incident”? I can’t find it on duckduckgo.
Someone PLEASE link me a news article about the avast malware incident.
