Path 2 and Path 3 of HoTW dungeon is very boring. Path 1 is okay, it is easy and short.

Path 2 and Path 3 isn’t hard, but it is that the bosses in the HoTW dungeon had too much HP. I rather face someone of Kholer’s difficulty than to face an easy boss with too much HP.

Please lower their HP otherwise HoTW might be dead because of how boring it is.

Yeah it’s really boring and incredibly easy. There’s only a handful of bosses that can possibly even down you, and even then it’s unlikely that they’ll finish you off. The trash mobs are far harder than any of the bosses, which are nothing more than enormous hp sponges. The worst of this is Path #2 where you have to fight two “legendary” HP sponges back to back and the game only considers it one boss fight. Nothing but sitting there spamming auto-attack for 15 minutes.

I have to agree that too many bosses are reliant on huge health pools in this dungeon rather than interesting mechanics. I do like the one with the cute wolf boss though I’d suggest making him harder but with less health. His mechanics are pretty neat otherwise.

The worst ones are the underwater end bosses it’s just a simple 30 minute kite where you tediously take down his health. I understand that it being underwater you want to make it more forgiving but a huge health pool just makes it tedious instead.

Don’t mind Path one and Three, even if many of the bosses are very boring. Path Two however them two Ice Golem things… after the upset polar bear! Good god, cut their health by 33-50%.

I don’t know if you have given monsters an extreme amount of health to try and encourage DPS builds or something but it really does not work, just makes people feel bored and start to dislike the instance, high health pools do not make hard npcs.

I Do know that your original intention was to have instances last 40-60 minutes or the vast majority of them, and HOTW instances for an average group takes around 30-40 minutes, but extending the time to complete by more health is not the way to do it.

The problem with HOTW is that tells bosses are incredibly easy, but have massive amounts of hp. It makes for some frustrating long and uninteresting fights where you practically fall asleep on your keyboard. The 2 ice guys on the ships for example. I’ve never even seen anybody get downed of those fights, but they take 10 minutes just to chew through their hp. You can all bit ignore their mechanics, but you still have to sit there and beat on their huge hp pool.

Those quaggans have WAY too many HP for a couple of adds. I swear just as much as the boss.

Actually I feel HotW is one of the more enjoyable places, partly due to the scenery and the way the dungeon is set up.

Path 1 is good, straight forward and simple.

Path 2 is average, I’ll leave it that way, but with shorter HP for each of the 2 huge ice boss monsters early on and the last water boss. It is just time consuming when the team already get the technique right. The middle boss with 2 Quaggans is the tough one.

Path 3 is okay. The last water boss could use a slight boost.

After these, I think it’ll be one of the most enjoyable and well-made dungeons at the moment.

Path 1 is ok, but agree on path 2 and 3.
Honor of the Waves feels very bland and uninspired. Mobs aren’t challenging or interesting whatsoever, but have tons of HP. Like on path 2 when you fight two of the same bosses (but with different attacks) in a row, and they have a kittenload of HP on them. Both fights are incredibly easy and shallow, but take so long to down. The underwater parts are just as bad, with a ton of mobs with high HP.

Path two and three are by far the most boring exp paths I have yet played, I have to concur. Very few silver mobs are threatening, the bosses have too much HP while not offering real resistance, and the underwater stretches are even more of a tedium than in the overworld. There could have done much with the iceberg setting, like jumping between moving ice floes, snowstorms that restrict visibility, instable terrain, etc.

Well, I’m hoping for a dungeon like that in the Far Shiverpeaks.

Nobody at Anet loves WvW like Grouch loved PvP. That’s what we need, a WvW Grouch, but taller.

The butcher guy is so boring. Too much hp, too slow. The storymode is more of a challenge than the xp mode (any path).
