Guild Wars 2

I’ve been playing this game for around 2 weeks. I hit level 40 yesterday and i got an ingame mail saying i could enter Caudecus Manor Dungeon in Queensdale. At first i thought it was something for solo players as i’ve pretty much done every pve content alone so far, until i entered and got destroyed by the Golem inside, so thought to my self "oh fun, time for something challenging in group ". So i start asking in /m for anyone interested. Guess what ! Nothing ! 2 days now i ask for people for over 2-3 hours and none seems to care.

I play a ranger and so far everything PvE concerned in this game was almost a joke. To easy to level up and kill things. I play solo most of my time and i thought this was a good chance to do something group challenging, but no…

In other MMos i’ve played there is a tab where people placed Looking for group requests for specific tasks and you could apply if interested. Does this exist in this game too cause i haven’t come acrossed it yet, or is this what this game is about ? Just running around soloing the game ? (as far as PvE content is concerned)

Since FotM came out, it’s been harder to find groups for the other dungeons with a few exceptions. Any “easy” dungeon, like CoF, or dungeon that you can skip a bunch of content (AC) then it’s easy to find groups. People don’t want to invest the time because the common attitude when running dungeons (pug groups anyways) has been “me me me” as of late.

Actually, it’s now really profitable to not skip AC, at least spider queen, kholer and troll. But agreed, new flavour is the bane of the old dungeons, that’s probably why Christ Whiteside (Studio Design Director) said that revamping all of existing dungeons through rebalance and overhauled encounters would happen in future updates.

Go back one dungeon level to AC it will be easier to get a group. Also imo CM is not alot of fun. Just stand outside the entrance of AC and ask in local chat. Think of when the east coast of North America and ect is getting off of work and your best luck will be then.

gw2lfg.com is the best place to find people for dungeons. It’s got it’s own sticky in these forums even. Look up.

gw2lfg.com i can vouch for as well! in the past few days, i’ve found various groups to do different dungeons. it’s still a WIP i feel, but it’s been awesome so far.

also, once you have a group, if on same-server, might be helpful to have one person ask map in LA, and one ask for more members at the dungeon entrance. same with cross-server (afaik, only works NA with NA, EU with EU, no cross region dungeoning).
