Hardest dungoen boss
I don’t mean to be rude but, what exactly are you trying to accomplish with this thread? Sharing my own experience, I think it is relatively common for people to consider lupi and the imbued shaman to be the hardest bosses currently in the game.
This is a forum where people can share their opinion so that’s exactly what I am doing.
Trying to get an idea what most people think as the hardest boss in current content. If you don’t like sharing your opinion then there is the next thread for you, keep moving no need to stop here.
Sir, yes sir.
I meant no disrespect sir.
tafu snafu?
Detha Trembletroll is the hardest boss.

Call me idiot but I think Mossman is way more difficult than Legendary Imbued Grawl Shaman.
You can kill this Grawl relative easy with enough reflects or when you go range.. o/c you can kite around Mossman too but I cant see his attacks as well <.<
Detha even began teaching her friends extended abuse of broken game mechanics. Tzark is just as strong as Detha by now whereas Hodgins always had something against quick dungeon clears.

I get where you are coming from but this clearly depends on partysetup and personal experience.grawl is commonly seen as the hardest boss in fractals because of multiple reasons: 1- lots of people fail to see the animation of the arrow, that combined with this boss delivering agony on every autoattack makes things harder. 2- aoe firestorm is hard to predict for most people. That leads to unavoidable damage which you can’t afford. 3- reflection makes thiings easy, as you said, but absorbs and reflects require coordination, as 1 person can hardly protect everyone during the entire phase without signing when and/or where he will be spawning things.
Overall, what is considered hard is what put groups have trouble completing.
The mossman leaves more room for rallying throughout the fight, and can be kited around, his attacks can surely be hard to see at times, but contrary to the shaman not all of his attacks inflict agony. That aside, you can always jump into the water, and unless you stand really stupidly close, won’t Target an entire party at the same time, like the grubphase of Mr shaman.

I totally agree with you but I think glitching a boss isn’t a good way to define him “easier” :P
You are right when we are talking about lower levels such as 1-49, over lvl 50 his autoattack (his normal axt swing) will be a bigger problem than grawl agony arrow.
Right now with 55 ar I can “tank” 1 shot from grawl shaman but I die instantly with my 10.8k HP thief from 1 axt swing and dodging an arrow is much easier for me^^
Let’s say it depends on the level and on the intention of the group. If speed doesn’t matter someone can kite the Mossman around while the rest can do dmg without any problem.

Sure thing, but I didnt mean exploiting him as in pulling him into the water, I mean being a little kitten and running away, I dont think that’s considered an exploit, but I could be wrong. And going to 50+ is exploiting that aside, the levels arent scaled in agony yet I believe, once they actually get released the shaman’s arrow should get more agony damage so that 55 AR will still be powerful as hell, but wont ignore all the damage. on thief I believe the arrow itself already hits half your health off, so once that scaling is done it will be just as strong as the shaman’s arrow.

Call me idiot aswell but the mossman is one of the (2?) bosses in this game that give me a lot of problems and where I down more than everywhere else. Weird.
Yea id say mossman is the most painful kitten in the game. Mostly because his tells are almost impossible to see when hes stealthed or covered in particle effects.
There are tons of diffult bosses.
Manly the ones where the main challenge is “Don’t fall asleep”.
They’re everywhere!
Most used: Guard/Mes/War/Nec/Ele.
Yes, i use 5 chars at time. Because REASONS.
Champion wolf in CoE, I kittening die even when I’m standing behind him, I don’t even get what happened… the mossman has some kind of tell if I remember correctly, been a while since I did fractals but I remember there being a tell to his attacks, not sure though…
Is currently emotionally unstable because Breaking Bad is over
I think Wethospu said something like count to 37 after the champ wolf first leaps so you know how long you have left before it uses the ability again. Just got to DPS it down before it does it again.
Morrï (Mesmer) | Serah Mahariel (Guardian) | Morrï Mahariel (Warrior)
“colesy’s on rampage today. Slaying casuals left, right and centre” – spoj
That wolf quite consistently uses those skills every 33 seconds.

If u look on mini map u can see his movements when stealthed on who he is going to oneshot. This might be a glitch but it certainly helps at 40+

he follows one player usually but throws the axe at a random target and not Always the one he is following.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

I know that.. But he usually kills me with his autoattack b/c I can’t see him. Guard fire, mesmer Feedback, ele fire makes this fight so painfull
Really, I don’t find any boss as difficult as Teq. Not because it requires coordination of over 100 players but the chance you can actually get into the area without being in overflow. The boss I have failed on the most is Shaman but that’s history. At the higher levels of fractals I find it hard to get a crap group to pug it. Everyone understands and gets it done.
So he’s the hardest because you have to get into your home server?
Yeah, its not possible to get into JQ main for Teq. Always full and my only option is to guest. That’s more work then any boss battle since you need to find the right server to guest to in order to get in then you wait for ever for the fight to begin just to watch it fail.
That’s amazing, please, tell us more. We don’t have many stories from outside world.
So you got it? Good.
I would have said Champion Rabbit in FotM level 1.
O°v°O
its a zerker rabbit! One hit to down you and its the quickest to kill.

Picking up sarcasm doesn’t seem like your strong suit.
I would have to say either Lupi or Mossman.
Personally I struggle most with Mossman. However I noticed that Lupi is a lot more team-dependent. One person will go down in phase 2 because they can’t dodge the inaccurate red circles, then the team swopes in to uber rez and all die.
LOL, obviously he was kidding. I elaborated. Lupi is a joke and can be killed quickly.(no sarcasm there) The only reason mossman is difficult is because of his HP scaling. Takes more time to kill which means more chances to get downed.

I guess your statement was actually accurate, so thought you were serious, as it’s not really a joke.
Lupi can be killed quickly if you have speed runners that know exactly what they are doing. It’s one of the worst PUGs bosses though IMO. Like I said, I usually have no issues staying alive and doing damage on Lupi, but my groups usually seem to.
Mossman gets me because of the little to no tells.
Lupi isn’t the hardest. He’s a legitimate challenge to Melee, granted….
But eliminating every other boss that either has BAD telegraphs, or NO telegraphs or just plain Bugged AI / physics…. Umm, I’m not really sure there is one
Infact I’d have to say my favorite Boss(es) are still Urgoz, and FrostMaw’s room…
…notable mention as well to Shiro & Bogroot’s Boss
well, there is the legendary ice elemental/dredge something in the dredge fractal, I do get they can be easily killed in organized groups but with pugs… hell
Is currently emotionally unstable because Breaking Bad is over
TA story last boss is a bit hard. I mean, if you dont kill the right enemies and stop the boss from summoning the spirit again, you’ll wipe
Theres another fight, I think it’s TA F/U. A mesmer boss. Not really really hard, but she’s SO ANNOYING
yeah F/U TA tree boss with spiders…. hate those spiders….grrrrr……
Archeage = Farmville with PK
Well the hardest instanced boss in my book must have been Liadri, never had that many attempts on any other boss before getting her down. Not a dungeonboss, but oh well!
Dungeonwise I must say the Spidertree, that’s one tough cookie.
Liadri and snafu tree, you must be jesting.
