Hi, I love doing dungeons, I can dungeon from lvl 30-80. So when you finish dungeons, you get tokens. And you can use token to buy armor/weapon. COOL

Now.. i’m lvl 35, it gonna take me around 2-3 full runs to be able to have enough token to buy the full armor set and weapon I want. By the time I get enough token, omg, i’m lvl 40! so why would I spend these token now instead of lvl 80 exotic?

If you like the look spend them. I personally would save it for 80 as you will level so fast its about pointless to spend it.

Lv35 is not supposed to be a level to farm explorer dungeons
Do something else, when 80 will be fun doing them. Now you’re an useless bag in your team. If you truly want an alternative to spend tokens, buy armor sigils, or the legendary component.

All gear purchasable from dungeon vendors in for level 80s. You have no such option as to buy level 35 armors and weapons.
Oh wait, you mean those lower tier armors who look exactly the same for each dungeon? Do not waste your tokens on non-exotic equipment.

Just because hes 35 doesent mean hes useless baggage. More times than not i get more help out of 35’s-40’s in ac than i do 75-80’s because the 35’s actually listen and work as a team to get threw the dungeon than try to just zerg rukitten thinking there level and gear will carry them.

No doubt he can be a talented player. It’s his trait tree, weapons and armors who are heavily lower than the rest of his team. Basically he helps and survive, yes. But his contribution is 5%. While others are doing 100 dmg, he’s doing 2 dmg (example).

So basically, I can’t enjoy doing dungeon and gear myself at the same time, because by the time I have enough token, I outlvl the gear for it already. Conclusion, don’t dungeon until 80….

and because only people who are lvl 80 should be doing explo, I’m just going to slow them down by joining them. So I can’t enjoy this content that is available to me without being a burden to someone…

Am I the only one who feel that there is something wrong with this?

Its not that drastic. All your gear is scaled down an in my experience is actually worse. Yes your traits will help a little but in general the difference i have seen is less than 5-10%. In terms of a skilled player thats minimal. And if they listen more than makes up for it.

Your armor stats and weapon stats are unchanged, as much downed. That’s why as 80 you make 100dmg, when 35 2dmg (example). Explorer is meant to be a special challenge when 80, and dungeon armors are 80 for this reason. There are other content to enjoy like the main story and billion other things to do, leveling.

Before we had level60/70 armor/weapons, to give a dungeon armor to use while leveling.
Devs realized noone was doing exp at all wasting days for an armor useless 5 levels later from the first blue dropped. (And funnily, take so long you outleveled lv60 requirement when finally you’re able to buy it lol)

Have you even looked at your stats? They do get scaled down. Thats why as a level 80 guard i go in to AC EM with Power: 455, Precision: 279, Toughness: 462, Vitality: 474, Attack: 837, Condition Damage: 0, Crit Chance: 8%, Armor: 839, Health: 5035. My level 80 Stats are Power: 1627, Precision: 999, Toughness: 1654, Vitality: 1695, Attack: 2602, Condition Damage: 0, Crit Chance: 8%, Armor: 2725, Health: 18595. So yes infact your gear and stats gets scaled down.

Are they the same of a lv35 blue/green armor maybe?
And your traits? And your weapon, is it the same of a blue / green lv35 one?
And your sigils (80 ones, full set)?

I actually use rares. As for weapon damage a level 35 rare weapon has a weapon damage of 412. You cant judge the stats given only place you see the stat build is in total stats on a level 80. My weapon power when scaled down to 35 is infact only 382. So infact my level 80 rare weapon is weaker than if i was using a level 35. We can assume that if the weapon power is weaker then the rest of the stats on my gear is also weaker. Given its devided between 3 stats instead of 2 this makes total scence. As i’ve said from testing i have found i am actually weaker when scaled down to make up for more traits and 3 stat gear. Over all yes i am slightly stronger. But only slightly.

EDIT: As for my rune’s. They are the level 60 runes. But thats kinda pointless at this point as the 6 piece set does not work on my rune set and i know for a fact that the rune is scaled down as well otherwise from just the rune i would be around 5k hp.

Also just incase you try to say equal level gear comparison isent fair green 35 has a weapon power of 380. But that isent a proper compairison given you need to do it scaled by gear level granted there is no level 35 exotic from what i have seen.

I find a bit strange an exotic + full sigil set (6 sigils exotic) lv80 weapon+armor is lower than a 35 gold one , playing together on the same dungeon. A bit senseless….don’t you agree?

Over all, dungeons are made on player’s skills, not math, or will be an other MMO gear based.

Said this, there is not reason to play explorer when 35, except if you want to test your personal skills as player, with lower dmg than others. This doesn’t means he can have fun to join groups. Not a pug, be sure.. Who is gonna invite a lv35 even on AC exp lol.

Its not odd. It actually makes sense. You have more trait’s and easier stat builds with 3 stat gear. So how do you counter this when scaleing down? You hit the stats them selfs. If you equalize the stats so that the traits balance you out the defining thing that sets you apart is skill. Thats why an unskilled 80 will get face rolled yet a skilled 35 might never take a death. Infact i have been in an all 80 group that couldent complete the zone and in other groups where besides me everyone was 33-40 and no one took a single death. Sure we had downs but we managed to get them back up before they died. That level 80 group i took 8 deaths. The most i have ever taken in a dungeon. And sad thing is there were 3 guys with over 30 deaths that zone. Only me and the ele that group got out of there with under 10 deaths.

Edit: As for damage honestly its not that different. I ran with a 37 guard using a simular hybrid build like mine. His damage was 100 a shot where mine was 110 or so.

I myself joined some exp before be an 80, i was the one with less deaths then any other 80s of my group. But c’mon, i find a 35 on exp funny. After all, how many 35 with full gold set+gold weapons (talented too)are around? Maybe 0.5% of the playerbase.

Said this: why the hell farm exp stressing yourself when 35, when the first gear you can get is an 80 one

Nakkrop don’t let them scare you!
I suggest you just keep the tokens in your bank so that, as soon as you hit 80, you’ll probably be able to buy (perhaps multiple) nice-looking, best-stat items in the game!

Because don’t forget, only legendary items (which are.. really legendary heh) are a little better than exotic. You’ll be fine with green/blue/gold before 80. And at 80, exotic is the very best gear there is.

If you like doing dungeons, hell do them! It’s good xp, fun, gives you a good challenge.

There’s a level req for each dungeon story mode, and the level req for explorable mode will be a bit higher.
You can CERTAINLY join as soon as you hit the lvl, as lvl 80’s will get their stats downgraded.

I shoo at the comment that states that you would be less useful having a downgraded ‘power: 300, precision 300’ instead of the lvl 80 ‘power: 360, precision:360’ (for example).
You will only be less useful if you do things wrong.

I say go for it! Get the touch of dungeons, get the feeling of wiping on a boss, thinking things over and then PWNING him to the max.

I never said it dident make a difference. I said that they are nerfed down. Way down infact so that the traits can balance them out.

As for taking 35’s i do it because they want to do the zone. Infact i’ve take as low as a 31 before into the EM AC zone, and finished it. As for how many out there have rare level gear i really cant commit on this. I had it at that level but i was also a crafter and harvested my mats i needed as the TP was down at that time.
