I looked for information on Glancing Blows. Could not find it. I decided to do some crude testing. If somebody has hard facts please share.
My test for Glancing Blows.
A thief level 52 hitting a level 56 moa till it dies. My weapons was a level 26 blue sword and low level items.
I hit the moa till it dies or I down. I gather data by counting my auto attack hits and blinding powder hits and tally the glancing blows.
Here are a few samples
Test one: 5 Glance/53 Hits= 9.43%
Test Two: 6 Glance/55 Hits= 10.91%
Test Three: 3 Glance/31 Hits= 9.67%
Test Four: 4 Glance/25 Hits= 16%
So based on most of my samples I believe there is about a 10% chance to get a glancing blow on a enemy 4 levels higher than you.
I wonder When Condition damage becomes better than direct damage? unfortunately I do not have the time to test it perfectly. If anyone has accurate DPS for a Warrior and a Condition necromancer could you please post it. Even better if someone tests it out in high level Dredge fractal. I went in and hit a lvl 83 Dredge with my necromancer till it died once I had roughly a 9% chance to get a glancing blow. It would be cool to see If there is a point where conditions can out dps direct damage due higher armor and level on high level fractal mobs.
Cmon guys do it for science-Let us prove if 1-2 condition user in high end fractals is a boon or bust.
