I was one of the members of the party with Fay in this dungeon, and throughout it felt like we were participating in some form of beta test. All the major bugs have been outlined already so I won’t repeat them, but as I ran through the dungeon there were a lot of little graphical glitches too, textures randomly fuzzing in and out etc.
I know there’s probably only a tiny fraction of players completing HotW explorable in comparison to say, AC or CM, and therefore most of the developer attention is on those dungeons. Regardless, it is kinda disappointing to see high level content in this state a month after release. :S
I have done all the paths in HotW the first worked fine until the last patch. The other 2 still work fine. I have about 800 tokens from there to prove it. They know about the new bug and are working to fix it.

Well whatever they did they broke it bad :P but yea we’re about to try the other paths now. I just thought it wise to report the bugs and glitches, took a video of it so the dev’s have something to go from.

We decided to go back to do path 3 of AC again instead since couple people still needed it. Hopefully with this big patch supposedly coming out they will have fixed most of the dungeon issues.

I just wanted to start with HotW. But you couldn’t enter the instance anymore. Both Story and Explorable where shut off. Sigh, I want that medium gear now I know what gear I want : <
Silver strength mobs that spawn in the middle of the fight? I’ve never seen any of those.
Yup, there was a seer, claymore, berserker, and ranger type but it seemed to change between every reset or re-spawning.
Also are all dungeons closed or just HotW?

There are 3 mobs that will port back to the WP with you if you die but not chase you and then when you get back they pop back.
I haven’t experienced that issue, They just seem to randomly reset even when you stay in range of the boss and if you kill them they respawn.

Welcome to GW2 Endgame please have fun doing nothing until everything is fixed.
That’s strange. I’ve done the Butcher path probably close to 60 times (~20 full runs before the Diminished Returns patch that introduced the bug with the floor in the Butcher’s room, and ~40 partial runs up through the War Shaman fight afterward). But I’ve never seen any silver enemies in the War Shaman’s room at all, let alone ones that respawn.
The bug with the butcher’s room is a fairly recent ‘addition’, though. Up until last week’s patch, I’d never heard of that happening, ever.
With any luck, it’ll be fixed with the update later tonight. I’m done with HotW (other than maybe going to complete the Plunderer path, which nobody – myself included – ever really seemed to want to do), but I liked the dungeon quite a bit and it’s a shame that the patch broke one of its paths.

Hello everyone.
The first boss you are talking about those adds are respawning on purpose. He spawns 3 adds on the left, and 3 adds on the right. Both of these sets are on an interval timer, so you have to kill them fast enough to have time to deal with just the boss before more come back.
The issue with the floor in the butcher room will be fixed with the next patch.

I ran it tons of times also and I must disagree I only saw them not respawn 1 time ever. I very much think them respawning is supposed to be part of the encounter just like the ice ele on the 2nd ice dragon in path #2. The fact sometimes they did not show up and respawn is what I believe the bug is.

Yeah, it’s just strange that I’ve never seen them show up, ever. Knowing that that was a bug makes a lot more sense to me – Aldous always seemed like a bit of a chump boss, and most groups I played with just ran up to him and beat him to death, without even worrying about dodging his telegraphed AoEs, let alone actually trying to win. Having some Elite enemies helping him out would go a long way toward making him feel like an actual Explorable boss.

Thanks for responding I saw the fix to the butcher’ room in the patch notes (Or what I assumed was that). We will give it another go to see whats changed.
Also we didn’t have an issue with the silver mobs themselves it’s just that we couldn’t figure out why they kept resetting (As in the entire fight resets not just respawning of mobs) even when we were right on the sides near the boss.
So we assumed that killing the mobs wasn’t intended and that they seemed to respawn just confirmed that to us rather than made us think we had to kill waves of them.
