Is it soloable? Out of like the 5 LFG’s there are, all of them ask for experienced players and don’t take my classes. (Thief, ranger.)

I really want that pistol to pair with the Mythic one, but there seems to be no way to get tokens….

Not soloable simply because the laser traps need people at different spots to hit the buttons at the same time. It is a bit rough for new players for a variety of reasons. First there is the recent patch where people stop running dungeon paths multiple times a day. Then there is P1 if someone screws up the 1-4 then the 3 clusters of silver golem is really hard to handle for the average pug. And in P2 P3 you just need practice to be able to dodge. All I can recommend is to find people, friends guilds etc, willing to teach.

I know randomfightfan solo’d path 2 with a thief, though I’m not sure if you can still use utility skills when you get crystalled by Alpha.
Even then I wouldn’t recommend trying to solo a dungeon you’ve never been in. As mentioned above make your own LFG mentioning that you’re new but eager to learn. It isn’t just you that feels the pinch from less dungeon activity, other people will be desperate for more party members which is a plus for you.

In addition to what’s been said, I would consider brushing up on the dungeon through vids on youtube. I haven’t looked, but there’s gotta be some clears of all 3 paths done by somebody.

Also /wiki Crucible of Eternity. It’s not entirely accurate with boss fight strategies (more like suggesting very safe but inefficient tactics), but it’ll at least give you a rough idea of what to expect.

strange, whenever I’m looking for people for my speedruns all I see on gw2lfg are casual groups – some which would be fine with a newbie if you identify as such first.

and yes, create a post. take the initiative instead of complaining there are no groups to be found.

if you want a relatively smooth run, watch a few videos first and read the wiki, as was suggested – this dungeon is only hard in the sense it has mechanics for a few fights which you have to be aware off or you screw everything up (like the console part with the little golems). apart from that the fights are relatively simple if you have the right utilities/classes, if you have a mesmer and guard in your group who know what to do, the rest is pretty much bash your enemies down.

and for coe: don’t use your pistol except to stun the golem with the boon-giving turrets around him. in coe you always melee bosses (except husk, which you don’t attack directly anyway)

Push some buttons and flip a lever, it’s that simple.

OT: You’ll probably have some issues with the laser field, and P1 isn’t soloable at all because of the golem terminal. Alpha’s crystal imprisonment should be breakable/avoidable with shadowstep, so make sure you have that slotted.

Also, try to find a group at first, you’ll probably (Read: Definetly) fail if you try CoE alone without help on your first try.

I usually do that with my guild. It’s pretty easy if you have a group who knows it. Also, very fun. I like it a lot.

If you’re willing to try and solo a dungeon just to get into PUGs asking for experienced members, really you should fight Subject Alpha repeatedly. By far what screws up the most PUGs is people dying easily to Alpha, then throwing off the rest of the group’s timing when they fail an attempted revive. If you know how to go up against Subject Alpha in melee range, you’ll save your group a lot of trouble.

Besides that, most of the fight gimmicks can be picked up as you go, or from watching a video run before hand.

Are you on NA server or EU? I’ve been running COE all paths for the last 4-5 days on my new thief (all gw2lfg.com) and I have to tell you it’s amazing to have thief in this dungeon. I have all 8 classes at 80 w/ exots fwiw. You can give 50%+ vigor uptime to whole party (alpha), refill their endurance frequently(alpha), spam-blind mobs. One run I had where there was another thief, we got compliments such as “you guys make this way too ez”.
Not to mention you can skip the whole laser jumping part with a thief, but I still do it for fun. You can also skip most parts with SR easily, though they are easy anyways.

I know, there is like no one there sometimes, and when you create a group, it takes like 30min or more to ONE person join you.

Try to watch a video on YT on path 1 and then join a group asking for experienced players, otherwise you will never find a group to do this dungeon.

Also, i think after this pavilion thing, we will have more groups for this dungeon, you can gain charged cores or even charged lodestones from this dungeon anyway.

Maybe everyone is busy farming champions lately but I am sure gw2lfg gets the job done. Or you can bug your guildies to run the dungeon with you, I am sure they wont be cruel enough to ignore you for too long, right? That’s what guilds are for

CoE usually fills up fast, evekittenn the night. And don’t worry about that experienced only/this class rubbish. Not very often are those groups better than the average pug. Had my guardian swap to healing symbols because the mesmer and warriors kept eating dirt. There are plenty of experienced players that pack a punch that stay away from experienced only/speedrunner groups when there’s an alternative. But it’s also up to you to provide it.
