So, I’m finally getting around to organizing FotM runs for my guild (I know, late to the party) and I’m curious how long the average clear of a scale 1-10 set takes.

Time is one of the most important things for our group, and one of the things that has kept us out of Fractals is a fear of lengthy time commitment. With a standard dungeon, guild members can opt in for a single path, complete in 20-40 minutes, and walk away between paths if need be, but FotM really encourages you to do 3-4 fractals in one fell swoop, else your tier doesn’t progress.

We did FotM back in November, and it seemed to take approx 20 min per fractal, 60-90 minutes for a full run. Is that about the norm, or, do teams tend to pick up speed as they get into a daily FotM 10 routine?

For experienced teams running scale 10 daily, about how fast is a run?

if you get all the longest paths, but do them all perfectly i’d say it would take at most an hour to do 4, but could be much shorter, with the shorter paths

it all depends on what fractals you get and how good / fast you team is on completing them. and yes the time range is about an hour if you get stuck with the long fractals.

Beginner runs? I would say maybe 2 hours for the first few times if you get all the very long ones and need to learn different mechanics.

Advanced / Expert? I would say 45min to 1hour would be the average. “If” you were to RNG it and go for Swamp first ( and everyone knew what to do ) I suppose 35~min would also be doable. Kind of hard to go any faster do to walking times.

I wouldn’t agree with 2 hours if you’re a beginner, at this point you should be aware of how fractals work even if you never did them, I’ll assume that you’re a decent player, so it will take an hour including maw, especially in low levels, however it could take a lot longer if you get a poor group or get long paths, but what everyone else failed to mention is that some long fractals tend to be very profitable, but then again, that’s all luck I guess.

And that’s the sort of time expectation that has largely kept us out of Fractals. Well, a month or two of weekends should get us where we’re headed. Thanks for the feedback!

Numerous pugs at daily 30 has made me pessimistic as to how well people can do so I’ll stick with 2 hours. Remember starting week and people rage quiting over dredge boss?!

However, if it’s a group of friends who at the very least looked at the wiki, yes, you can probably cut that estimate down a lot. Boss mechanics might take a small bit to learn but no agony makes it easy enough.

Really depends on players and what fractals you cycle.

Most groups cycle until swamp first, which can take less than 5 minutes.

Then it just depends if you get quicker paths or longer paths for your next 2 cycles and how good the players are. 1-10 are rather easy, maybe an hour if people are familiar with all of the fractals, faster if you run ideal groups, slower if everyone is new.

It’s mostly luck. I’ve had some runs where we’d start with swamp, then do underwater, then do ascalon, and finish the run in 40 minutes. I’ve had some runs where we’d start with dredge, then do volcano, then do cliffside.

You can cycle through the maps to ensure getting swamp/underwater first. If you care to do just that.
