Guild Wars 2

I went on my first dungeon run today, since I got an invitation in the mail in game. So I took that as a part of my personal story. I invited all 4 people in the group but when the cut scenes started, some random player was talking instead of me.

This really alienated me from my storyline. Why would a random group member get cutscenes even though it’s part of my personal storyline? It makes no sense. How do you get your character to appear in important cutscenes?

Yeah that could be it, somebody else started it and it asked me to “join”. Will try.

Yes, the person that opens the dungeon “owns” it. They’ll show up on all the dialog. Also note that if they leave, everyone gets kicked.

Another point is, dungeons aren’t your story. You’re just helping. The NPC outside tells you what’s up and just says to get more “adventurers” to help.
