No matter how you argue it, I’m going to stick to my staff and suggest otehr guardians use it in that situation as well. It works incredibly well no matter how stubborn you want to be about it.

I just stay by the repair station in AC and let my party take out spider queen. My words of encouragement in party chat are contribution enough.

I’m not saying it’s not an option. I’m saying that it should be “shining” (Jerus’ word) when it vastly outperforms other ways of doing the same task. It’s not the case.

I’ll stick to my sword because for this specific task, it’s on par with a staff. I may lose 1-2 seconds for running a bit farther, but I keep the flexibility of my build. And in pugs, everybody knows you need your flexibility more than anywhere else.

I think your definition and mine differ in that I don’t look purely at performance, but also ease of said performance. I can show a fresh guardian out to pull the queen in one go around quite easily with the staff. And I’m confident most people could repeat it quite easily. Sword, not as easy, doable surely, and it has it’s benefits, but staff just fits this situation so well.
