How to push lupi?
The easiest way to stop him from being a peasant on the wall is to just keep yourself in the middle, and avoid moving to the sides (of lupicus). If you move inside him or stay infront of him, he will not move. If you move to the sides of him, he will try to kite away from you, which is what you’re seeing happen. If Lupicus is on the wall, never try to move inside of his circle from the left or right of him. Always do it from directly in front, otherwise he will kite away from you.
If you watch a few lupicus solos, you’ll usually observe players dodging back and forth when they’re on the wall, rather than side to side. This is done deliberately to avoid their positioning ending up off-centre of lupicus.
If Lupicus is trolling around and not pushing properly when NOT on the wall, it’s usually because you’re on one of the weird ‘uneven’ parts of the floor. The AI’s pathing gets kind of ugly when you’re on those, and what usually happens is that Lupicus will end up standing on top of you. You have to be careful when this happens, because its not uncommon for these positions to result in lupine blast hitting you in melee range.
Sorry, I feel like I’ve done a terrible job of explaining what you’re probably experiencing. Hope it helps either way.
Thanks, it clears up a few things.
Also how far into him should I move to push him in the case of him being pushed far away from what was intended. Like I’ve had a few times where I accidentaly pushed him far off to the right and when trying to make him move left he just moves even more to the right, getting awfully close to those doors. Also wondering how far I should move and when to move when pushing him into the wall.
What you need to know is that he’ll only move in between attacks. If you need to re-enter his circle due to accidentally drifting off to the sides, wait until he’s performing an attack and quickly enter his red circle during it. This way, he won’t adjust himself (assuming he’s on the wall).
If he’s on the wall but uncomfortably too close to a door, you can actually lure him in the opposite direction by standing on the edge of his circle in the direction that you want him to move in, and slowly inch your way in said direction whilst attacking. He’ll inch along with you.
I don’t know if this solo of mine is the best example to demonstrate what I’m talking about because I don’t recall moving around too much in it, but here’s a visual aid that may help:
Try to push to the area right behind where he is spawn. The terrain is a bit uneven so he will stay there. When he starts moving there are 2 situations: he runs from you or follows you. Adjust your movement accordingly. Best spot is the corner between wall and a door. Be careful of green arrow hits(rare situation) and if he gets to the door itself he resets(often).
