Before the patch i had
14*7=98 – every simple slot
3*10=30 – 3 attuned slot
2*11=22 – 2 infused slot
=150 AR

now since amulet AR is gone i have 143 but have no idea how to maximize the AR again. any suggestions ?

Break down the +11 and +10s at the vendor. You can reach max ar without anything over +9 now. (if you have infused rings/back + attuned rings & full asc.

You should aim to 14 +9’s (assuming you want both weapon slots filled) and 6 +7’s.

Convert your +10’s and +11’s to +9’s. You have enough to get your 14 + 9’s.

12 * 9 + 6 * 7 = 150

Remember now Agony Slots and Infusion Slots are not standardized to one single Infusion Slot resulting in 18 (plus one – 19th Enrichment Slot in amulet) slots where you can put any kind of AR stuff. You can either go: for example into 18x +9AR +5stat (giving 162 AR) or 18x +10AR Agony Infusions (or to reach 150 12x +8AR and 6x +9AR) which is way cheaper if you don’t care about additional stats (up to +90)

In simple words, you have now 18 slots where you can put either:

Full ascended w/ infused back/rings and attuned rings you’ll have 18 slots.
Full ascended with attuned/infused rings but normal back (crafted or ascended) you’ll have 17 slots.

With 18 slots 12X8 + 6X9 will get you 150AR.
with 17 slots 14X9 + 3X8 will get you 150AR.

Breaking down your 2 11’s will net you 8 +9s, and breaking down the 3 10’s will get you another 6 +9’s for a total of 14 of them. If you use 6 you’re left with 8 more, break down 6 of them to get your 12 total +8s and you’re left with 2 +9’s you can sell off.

Personally I broke down 7 characters that had 150 or 140 AR, reworked it all so that all 7 chars are now 150AR and I was still able to make some extra gold.

I personally am planning on going with the following so I don’t have to put AR in every weapon set:
10 x +9s for 90 AR
6 x +10s for 60 AR

This ends up being a little more expensive than the above examples, but I play warrior and like to be able to play all my weapons, so this beats butting AR in all of gs, mace, shield, axe, sword, longbow, etc.

Also, if you are someone who is looking to get to max stats and want to use infusions that give you +power or the like, you can do the following:
6 x +7s for 42 AR
12 x +9s for 108 AR

If you want to stat cap and minimize how much you put in weapons you can do the following:
14 x +9s for 126 AR
2 x +7s for 14 AR
2 x +5s for 10 AR (in each weapon set)

This is still very expensive, but some people will want to get that extra edge. You’d total +90 power or whatever stat you choose.

Armor : +7 = 42
Ring : +11 = 66
Accessory : + 10 = 20
Backpack : +11 = 22
= 150
Seem really good for my account setup.
Will have to craft more +11

But ..
Because I’m poor atm and +1 agony raised in price.
This is what I planned , until lower +1 agony price:
Armor : +8 = 48
Ring : +10 = 60
Accessory : + 10 = 20
Backpack : +11 = 22
= 150

Once the prices normalize on the +1s you can make a set of 10 +15’s and have a set of trinkets you can float around characters. Might have to do that at some point.

At least, the new system is more flexible.

The secret formula assuming all ascended gear, fully infused/attuned etc (18 slots) is:

12x +9
6x +7

And 2 of those +7s should go into your weapon slots so every time you add a new weapon you have to make +7s and not +9s.

(You can also just leave the +7 simple infusions in the weapons that you probably already have with this method.)

If you had 150 AR before patch, breaking down your infusions should accomplish this easily.

so I just came back from a little break and with the recent infusion updates im a little confused. Ive been reading a lot about breaking down infusions but im not sure where to do so. My ultimate goal is to reach 150 AR the cheapest way possible. Heres where im at now:

- all weps/armour have a +7 simple infusion
- my backpack has a +7 simple infusion and a +10 agony infusion
- my rings (infused & attuned), each have a +7 simple infusion, and two +10 agony infusions
- each accessory has a +7 simple infusion

equaling a total of 141 AR. What can i do!!!

I also have 3k +1 agony infusions in the bank

If you’re planning on decking out your equipment in +5 stat infusion in the future It might be easier to invest some money into some +9 infusions. First extract your +10’s and break them down. Since you have 5x +10s you should already have 10x +9 worth. You’l need to buy 2 more for 12 in total. In the end you’ll have 12×9=108 6×7=42 150 in total. This is useful because it allows you to keep a few of the +7s and replace them with infusions with the same AR value but with stat bonuses slowly without having to redo others.

However if you just want the AR and don’t plan on Min Maxing you can break your 5x +10 infusions into 8x +8 and 6x +9. You’ll need to buy an additional 4x +8 to have a total of 12×8=96 6×9=54 150 in total. It might seem expensive to buy 4 +8s, but that’s that cost of upgrading one of your old +10s to a +11 the old way and you still would have been 1 off from 150. 150 AR is actually a tad cheaper with the changes by around a +10 worth of gold.

I also urge searching the forums a bit before starting a new thread. There have been at least 5 separate threads that were created since patch about the same topic. Majority of them have been merged, but they’re out there.

Edit: You probably have enough infusions to make whatever you’re missing. New npc in fractals will help make the process a bit easier.

Remove all of your infusions.

Downgrade all of your +10 infusions to +9 infusions. You’ll have 10 +9s. Buy 3 more +9s for a total of 13 +9s.

Downgrade 7 of the +9s to +8s, giving you 14 +8s.

Place the 6 +9s into your armour, and fill all of the remaining slots with +8s (should have enough for trinkets, backpiece, and both weapon sets).

That should give you 150 AR.

Trade in your excess +7s for Fractal relics.
