Make the mobs worth killing.

Simple as that.

The mobs are nothing but obstacles that currently give you nothing but perhaps [Generic Gray Vendor Trash item], if anything at all. Of course people are going to avoid wasting time and possibly resources (repair costs if you die).

Punishing people and forcing them to grind through these unrewarding mobs is not a proper way to handle the skipping “problem”.

Perma-aggro? Puh-lease.

I can do thirty Five-Dolyak Arm Curls.

Give them less health.

If you’ve run arah you know that it already takes a while with skipping mobs, the mobs have way too much health to justify killing them unless they dropped precursors.

Anet make Rev great again.

Some fotm bosses could use some bonus in what they drop. Cliffside first boss is insanely dumb. Takes maybe 3+ min to kill and you don’t get any loot at all. At least give us 10s drop from his corspe

Its the same for the long fractals versus the fast ones. Every high level group simply rolls the first till they get swamp or underwater because thats 1 out of 3 you cant get one of the crappy long ones everyone loathes at that point. Because instead of making it harder the higher you go up by giving encounters new intersting mechanics.

A-Net simply reverted to doubling or tripling the HP pool so the fight takes forever without any change. Best examples are dredge and uncategorized.

With dredge Rabsowitch takes forever just staying there, occasionally dodging his 1 shot down attack. A-Net could simply cut out that portion of the fight or let him be the last boss. Would be much better.

Then the 3 Champs+Vet on uncategorized. That Ettin….. just hitting it for minutes is not fun, nor challenging and in 10 levels where it will take 5 minutes more it wont be any more challenging.

Its simply really bad game design. From 1-9 and then the jump over at 10 it was really well done. Lets take uncategorized for example. At Tom you get the fan part and the last boss gets his agony attack on 10 which makes the encounter clearly more challenging but not boring long.

But then its just more HP, more 1 shot kills and even more HP which is awefull.

MORE HP IS NOT MORE CHALLENGE its simply more of the same challenge which makes some of the fractals absolutely obnoxious and whenever cliffside or uncategorized pops up I hear the moaning on TS because they are not fun at 30+, just a time drag with tons of rep costs possibly.

Of course then there is the trash that has more HP than your usualy champion in the open world and just 1 hits you (Ascalon anyone?)
