I Need To l2p Guardian
Yeah id like to know that aswell. Because thats how i calculated target the weak dps. Not sure if its correct though. Only makes a slight difference. Anyway 10/25/0/10/25 because its not reliant on sword. 10/30/0/10/20 kind of forces you to use sword instead of doing a rotation.

Exactly. Doing a rotation is much better. Also together with other choices in gear, food and stacks it becomes better.
I guess than it would come down to what percentage of damage comes from the GS side of the rotation versus the sword side. It’s looking like you would need to get 65% of your DPS from sword under ideal situations for RHS to be better then PotV.
In any case. in a pug situation where the boon upkeep is probably going to be 4~ or less and things like max might/fury/spotter/banners aren’t present I’d start to think that the potential gain on the sword side with RHS makes up for the loss on the GS side. Pugging would be the place I’d want the shout CDs the most also.
I thought ~60% sword time seems to be best rotation wise but from what i experienced in my lupi solos the optimum is more around 50/50. And that even includes Force + Slaying on Sword/Focus. 3-4 boons are average in solo play, 5-6 in group play. 7-8 with some 6u4n66u4rd.

What kind of stacking sigils would you guys recommend with 25 in radiance? Bloodlust or Perception? Or whatever my heart wants?

Bloodlust under ideal circumstances, but the change between the two is very slight (see attached).
Bloodlust stayed marginally better than perception even when dropping spotter/disc banner/fury/might/etc. Can’t say this is overly surprising due to guards low crit damage.
This would be the same for 10/30/0/5/25 since the only difference between it and 10/30/0/10/20 are non-offensive stats and damage multipliers. basically in the damage formula:
[part of formula that deals with stacking sigils] * damage mods
what’s best for 10/30/0/10/20 is best for 10/30/0/5/25 – just even more damage.
But… you can never go wrong with playing how you want ;P

Sorry, should of been more clear. I was basically running numbers like:
[effective power of RHS build w/ sword] * % of damage from sword + [effective power of RHS build w/ GS] * % of damage from GS
to find which gave a better number than a PotV build. For it to be more effective under ideal circumstances the sword attacks would need to supply 65% of the damage. I have no clue what that translates into play time.
I’m just theorizing that as a PotV becomes less effective in pug play that a RHS build could start to deal more damage. Assuming this is content where you value shout CDs in a pug and you can’t get both traits.
Perception, power food with 25 might and banner, bloodlust and prec food without.
Well, when you reflect it’s better perception+prec.
Actually, yeah what dub said. I was take numbers from build calculator sight and felt they were off from what I remember seeing in game…. indeed they were off.
Well, reflects are a given, i meant in general with fury and banners but without spotter. But that did awnser my question, thanks dub/durend.
Depends on if you run RHS or not. Shout CD is kind of meh in teams, and unless you’re Dub, you probably have a mes to cover damage reflects.
Sword #2 isn’t worth using. Try to use 2435 on greatsword to have vuln for highest amplifiers.
Is this a joke? Even putting aside the teleport/gap closer, Sword #2 is an instant-cast PBOE blind. Why wouldn’t you use an instant-cast AOE blind, especially when VOJ is on cooldown?

i think he’s talking about maxing dps. ofc you use it to close far gaps which mostly happen in skips. another problem with sword 2 is that it’s not actually instant 1 reason being aftercast(for me at least). also the vuln in parties is there without this skill. also VOJ usually hits 2 times in melee which is the only reason to use it to improve your melee dps

Aswell as Flashing Blade isn’t a PBAoE, why would you ever blind bosses to increase your dps? Applying vulnerability, yes. Still doesn’t improve your personal dps.
Flashing Blade does not only have an aftercast, but also precast and cast time.

It most certainly is a PBAoE blind. 100% guar-an-teed. Just tested again. Will affect up to 5 mobs, as with all AoE spells. Try it yourself.

Flashing Blade does not only have an aftercast, but also precast and cast time.1. It most certainly *is* a PBAoE blind. 100% guar-an-teed. Just tested again. Will affect up to 5 mobs, as with all AoE spells. Try it yourself.
2. You don’t put Flashing Blade in your rotation for DPS; you put in for the benefit of your group. The benefits of an AoE blind -- especially when traited for vuln -- should be obvious. One skill: up to 5 mobs blinded _and_ with 10 seconds of vulnerability. No brainer.
3. It has no cast time, and can be cast on the move. There is a short animation delay (due, I suspect, to the teleport), and a short aftercast, neither of which have any material affect on a sound rotation.
1. It blinds only mobs it also damages and it is a sword strike, no PBAoE. It won’t hit enemies behind you, at least from what i can tell.
2. Dolan has been asking for a DPS rotation, not for something beneficial to the group support-wise. Also blinding bosses (80%+ of all fights) is pretty useless.
3. It has a cast time.

I might misinterpret PBAoE but this is what i found as definition:
Point blank area of effect (abbreviated PBAoE) refers to skills that affect anything within a radius centered around the user...
Edit: Where did your posts go O.o
Yeah I’ve noticed Sword #2 is painfully slow as far as cast time and after cast but just presumed the Vuln stacking was worthwhile for the party :|
(We rarely cap Vuln in casual runs anyway, unless using Fiery Rush.)
