I don't like GW2 instances
gw2 instace= hey lets add alot of hp and make them hit really hard because thats what makes a instance hard and also buggy…also forget about playing the way you want to.
While you might be a little harsh with the whole tone you are using… Yes, you are right. They should REALLY revamp the whole Dungeon mechanics GW2 is currently using.
I disagree. It is the one time in the game where I actually have to think about what my group is doing and work together with them to survive. Dynamic Events, Hearts etc are all pretty much face-roll by the time you’re used to your character (this is where you play the way you want to) but dungeons are where tactics, traits, cross-profession combos, projectile blocking, and dodge rolling are actually going to make the difference between your entire group getting 2 shot and surviving.
What you described in the OP isn’t boring, it’s difficult. If difficult is boring then don’t play in dungeons.
I disagree as well for many of the same reasons as the poster above me.
The mobs are more than “lots of HP”. They hit really, really hard, one shot hard! …So don’t get hit, simple really, that you are complaining how hard they hit only tells how bad you are at avoiding the hits, and therein lies your problem. See, I fixed it. You’re welcome.
Dungeons are incredibly fun, every time I finish one I can think of nothing else in game other than when I get to go again.
I have yet to see a buggy instance. shrug maybe you’re just unlucky with bugs.
The title pretty much screams out the maturity level of the poster…but perhaps only the story mode is because personally, the explorable mode is relatively challenging for newer players.
I like how ppl think I said it was hard…wow learn to read. It is easy and BORING like I said. Same with d3 lots of hp and they hit hard… BORING. Also what happen to getting away from, the whole trinity tank/heal/dps. You still need one and guys dont plan on playing the way you want you still have to change for instances dont let ppl lie.

Dungeons are only fun if i can ignore mechanics and spam the highest DPS rotation!
Why is that MMOs are the only genre of video games where being one shotted is acceptable? With the exception of side scrollers and first person shooters, where you can also 1-2 shot all enemies.
Imagine any other of your favorite games tuned like this, where your characters are super weak, and everything can roffle stomp you. Its gonna get boring fast.

Unfortunately, this has been addressed as an issue since Ascalon Catacombs was previewed 6 months ago…
I cannot imagine them changing it. And I think we are just stuck with a boring endgame.

I dont need to imagine it, I played computer games in the 90s. I, for one, am glad to see Arenanet making dungeons difficult. Its been what, nearly 3 weeks since the headstart launched? Do you really expect to be able to do the hardest dungeon modes in the game, first time and get all the loot you want within the first couple of weeks of playing? if you do, there are several other MMOs that will be happy to cater for you. I want to feel like Ive worked for my loot and dungeon completion. If I havent had to work hard for it and improve as a player, what was the point exactly?
It’s a strange pattern for me. Though yes I sometimes feel like the mobs/bosses hit a bit too hard…It’s usually because I’m barely dodging or not paying attention when a bosses animations intimate that a BIG hit might be coming my way. Usually it’s just the first boss, then I’ve warmed up and the rest of the dungeon is challenging but fun.
If they do tone down the damage, I hope they don’t overdo it either. The days of rolling through dungeons without much thought or effort was boring ( my opinion only). I hope that’s not what is being suggested. There are other games which have that style of play.
Melee are at a very distinct disadvantage in dungeons because you only get 2 dodges and yet must be within melee range to do any damage. A lot of people just go ranged for obvious reasons. It’s certainly not balanced for all playstyles because melee on some classes simply don’t have the options available to them to avoid taking every hit.
