from an AC P3 party because I wasn’t in the corner of the pillar. The boss was at like 10% life. I’ve been in groups where angry boys have kicked people for disagreeing with them. What’s being done about this issue? How can I report them for griefing?

Best thing to do is run with guidlies.

LFG is a gamble.

But OP, you were griefing them by not abiding by the community-established default.

If you don’t want to stack, you need to make your own group specifying that, or communicate with your group about tactics beforehand. Because otherwise, the assumption is that everyone will go stack in the corner since… 3 months ago? (Unless you mean at Rumblus, not the Spider Queen, in which case stacking has been standard since the reworking of AC due to Grast being bugged originally).

ya you get kicked because the spider queen will split poison aoe if people arn’t in melee range.

Now if you don’t want to do that. You should kick yourself from the party, because most likely the other 4 people want to stack, since stacking become the norm nowadays. just make your own group and say no stacking allowed.

If everyone want to stack and you dont’ want to, you might as well kick yourself from the party…. That’s the way I see it.

Nah. If you mess about and bring the group down then you get kicked. If you do something different and it works out good then the group should let it pass. Some people actually learn the fights by experimenting a bit rather than just walking through the game.

That particular boss is buggy to fight and stacking is the best option.

I speed run dungeons every day. But I have way more patience for new players than I do for elitists. Taking time to communicate and educate people on the best tactics is something I enjoy and will tolerate horrible players if they are genuinely doing the best they can. However, if someone is blatantly ignoring or refusing to cooperate with the rest of the team, I will absolutely kick them.

I would probably not kick anyone at 10% hp left on the final boss though. If I put up with someones crap that long, I’d at least them finish and just not run any more dungeons with that person. Your team should not have kicked you that late in the game.

As long as you weren’t screwing them over in some way I don’t see why they kicked you. If it was all fine then they’re idiots. If you were causing trouble, then its your fault. But I doubt that you would make this thread if you caused trouble.

If everyone is stacking and you purposely went out of the way just so 4 other people would die it is called griefing. Maybe the other 4 people dont like being griefed.

i’ve been running ac since sept 2012. i know what i’m doing. i was a mesmer and i didn’t want to get cleaved into oblivion. so i went behind the boss but stayed near grast so the falling rocks wouldn’t get me. one guy told me to stack up. he got cleaved to death. then as the boss was about to die, i get kicked.

i’ve seen this happen too many times. i’ve seen people get kicked on jade maw during a fractal 48 run because of a disagreement on what the best class is. how can this be allowed to happen? what’s being done about this issue?

^ you can just dodge back when the boss do his big attack. You didn’t rez the guy who got cleaved to death right? Because you arn’t there. I’m actually not even sure if his attack hit everyone.

I dont’ necessary agree or disagree with stacking. Some times I do felt it is silly to stack since boss cleave. But if you imagine everyone not abiding to the stack, the boss will just knock people around and move all over the place.

well, you know there are 2 people in the group that don’t like you at least. If those people dont’ know each other and still kick you, they dotn’ like you very much.

Maby they should moderate kicking write a reason of kicking before they are kicked.

It could have been an excuse to get a friend in your place if they knew eachother. A kick that late sounds like they planned to kick all along, otherwise there is no good reason to kick you if you were winning and doing fine the whole run.

When you join a pug take a screenshot with peoples names in chat. If u get kicked you will have an easier time reporting.

I understand what the OP is saying. At the same time if you have played this long you already know the measures to stop yourself from getting kicked.

Fill free to post back if anything happened after you reported them.

I doubt Anet will do anything, unless you have actually proof of them “insulting you”.

I don’t understand how this is such a difficult concept. If you don’t like the established way of doing encounters, start your own group with a description of how you intend to play. It’s been over a year since release, and I don’t get why people are still surprised they’re getting kicked for going against the grain.

My logic is many people are dieing in Syria, and American should send an army and stop the war which they apparently didn’t. (at least not yet)

Sorry my bad i shouldnt have said “like this”. let me just elaborate on what i meant. I was trying to say that theirs no need for a forum post about this kind of kick because it sounds like he might have deserved it and also its a really quick path so he didnt lose out on much. The kind of kicks that deserve a thread are like when sellers get kicked because of idiots who like to enforce their morals and lose out on alot of gold and time.

Elite = Someone really, really good. Might be able to carry the group even.

Elitist = Perceives him/herself to be Elite, which may be true or not. Someone who only wants to play with Elite and lets everyone else know they suck. Often combined with the attitude that only their own way of playing is the only right way to do things.

Wrong topic Atse, that stack is default, even low levels with 500- APs go to do it that form -.-. He probably got a more normal party, the guys though he could have ruined the run for not stacking an kicked him whene someone went down, so he got hotheaded guys and at least one didnt dodge against the pillar and they couldnt kill it before one get down, since they were hot headed they didnt though he been in melee in the time they have the agro will not affect the boss been in that place and him atacking it (normal pugs analisis skills- like the ones in spider queen that dont know is because they are in melee and think is because someone is moving- they dont know or razonate how it works, just do it and fear what can happen if not).

It normally not knock people around – at least not with parties of people that know how to play and are concentrated, etc, you just use stability + dodge and the rest of the party moving before the one who got the agro behind the boss, the reason why that stack is done nowdays is because it reduce the probabilities of pug failing and pugs making it longer (the other form involve necesarily dodges, movement from the party, other case some will go out of the buble and can die or make it longer), since pugging is a lottery you dont know what you are gonna get.

Actually without stacking you can do it faster because you dont need to pull the boss.

Im not sure they can be considered elitists if they are killing the boss the slow way.
