I like the changes made to dungeons and dungeon rewards.
you obviously dint understand the patch if you like it.
atm in gw2 the only way to farm money is the ah.
they put tons of measure to counter grind but there end game is based on huge grinding…
im just gonna do spvp and dungeon run with guild sometime and kitten the rest.
they dint nerf the reward for speed running btw
they just flatout nerfed all the reward and made them all decrease after one run… changing path dont make a difference changing dungeon dont make a difference.
after one dungeon run if you do another in the next hour your reward decrease and it was alreeady a nerfed reward.

If you honestly think exploiting dungeons by speed clearing them, is a positive aspect of this game, then I have no words.
Read once more what i wanted to say. Now it should be more clearly for you… Cause no matter how many times people repeat it to you, you still don’t get it.
I would be glad to run all paths, if the gear werent so expensive, Dungeons becomes farm instead of enjoy the content.
Getting dungeon armor is too much grindy, 50+ runs of the SAME dungeon for a set….
@Gray: It’s true that you do not NEED to grind to excel in the game. Because you do not depend on grind to get the best stats. You do have to grind if you want better looking stuff, but that is COSMETIC ONLY. That is the difference that they advertised with.
you don’t need to grind for stats, true. nonetheless, the basic formula of progress is still there (offer sth worthy to get) – and it’s still a grind.
don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind grind and absolutely expected it contrary to their PR-speech. however claiming there is no grind is just naive.
on a sidenote, they never excluded it “for cosmetics only” in advertisments. people who played gw1 knew what to expect, but you have a lot of people here now who believed the mmo-manifesto trailer, blog posts and the hype although they should have know better.
of course having a completely effed up reward system doesn’t help either.
Farm instances every one. this is end game.. OH holy kitten. your going to fast NERF!!!
How about adding good gear drops to instances and remove tokens and add a cool down on the instances like WoW did because clearly thats what you are trying to do.
@Spawn
Or they should maybe add limits like this 1:
— You can farm this dungeon explorable mode maximum 5 times a day, counter resets everyday at 0:00am GMT+1
This should fix some issues aswell.
And i will say it once more – changes were needed, but they made it completety wrong way, only making everything way worse.
I’m having a bucket of omnomnomnombarries.
All the “pixel kittens” crying cos the shinies won’t be handed over anymore.
And there I was thinking GW2 is played by people who don’t care about pixels but FUN only.
All in all great change! Keep it up ANet but don’t take too long balancing and bug fixing!
While I understand what this change was meant to do, and mostly agree with it, there are some issues with it. For example, I just ran TA on two different explorable paths. 15 tokens for each run, but the second path gave me lowered money and experience. This doesn’t even encourage you to run different paths unless you’re solely running for tokens.

you never put a “hard” limit on possible content. some players will always find alternatives to what it was supposed to “fix”, other players will be put off by it (unhappy player -> stops playing -> one less person to buy gems). in the end it hurts more than just reducing rewards over time (which is still a stupid concept)

too bad COF magg is now as un-fun as the rest.
