So,I want to get the beautiful Arah leggings for my Warrior,but people kind of scared me with “ARAH IS THE HARDEST DUNGEON OMGGGG!!!” and such,so today I decided that I wanted the leggings,and that I should give Arah a try.

My P3 group had 3 first timers,1 did that path once I think,and the last one was kind of an expert already (he had full Arah set,and teached us the fights etc)

That run took like 2 HOURS with 2 wipes at Lupicus.

I almost gave up getting my leggings because of that (seriously,2 hours? for 60 tokens…still need 5 more runs)

But then I tried another group and…we couldn’t get past the FIRST group of illusionists,yes,the FIRST group,it was wipe after wipe,then I gave up.

I want some tips of which groups I should be looking for (Mesmers,Guardians,Thieves,Necros,etc..) and how to not wipe easily like that…

PS: I have a Warrior,Mesmer and Elementalist ,which one would be the best in Arah?

Also,zerker gear isn’t needed in Arah,right? I’m using Knights on my Warrior (with zerk trinkets)

Yes considering instances don’t save and the one that started cant even go out etc etc makes this a pain. Pain enough to plan for a gw break in a week or two .

Scroll down to the arah section. There’s lots of solos of both of those paths so you should be able to get multiple tips from any class just from watching the vids. Since you’re pugging it, you should find a thief friend. A smart thief, who can actually pull their own weight (and carry their team through every running phase assuming the team doesn’t desperately try to kill themselves (it happens more than you know)) will make your life 100x easier while learning the dungeon.

You don’t need full zerk to be viable. A mix with knights for your warrior is completely fine and since you are new to this dungeon probably better for survival.
Ele and mes are pretty useful too, so just use what you are comfortable with.
60-90 minutes are normal for a run with avarage pugs and you will get used to it.
I spent the past 4 days gathering my 1380 tokens for the whole set and it wasn’t that bad.

Normally you want to focus the risen elementalists and mages first, then illusionists and the rangers last. Stay ranged at lupi and dodge his shadowstep and don’t forget
to grab some invuln. or stability for his dome in phase 3. Most groups that fail
will do at this boss.

Lupi can attack the ranger’s pet, ranger’s pet can revive ranger if nobody is around to res him (downed state), extra range on rangers is also pretty usefull, I have a level 7 ranger so I know some bits and pieces, but I think rangers can bring more to the table

We did a 57 second Lupi with a Ranger? Ranger is clearly OP and should replace the guardian!

made me laugh for a while, then I felt sad for rangers, are they really that bad, I heard that they can do the most damage but not a lot of people know that, that was before the patch though, and my sources are anything but credible.

I could finish Arah p3 once again with a team with 2 guardians,2 mesmers (1 was me) and 1 necro,it was a very smooth run,thanks for the 4 other players being very experienced. (took like 50 minutes ~ compared to 2 hours on my first time)

Now I only have 3 runs to go! Today since the daily already reset,I’ll try to get a run on my Warrior,Mesmer and then my Elementalist or thief!

YOU’RE RIGHT! I remember doing a pre-patch Simin with 2 rangers on my team. Ranger super buff, need nerf naow.
