So, i was doing the Citadel of Flame, everything went perfect, but i had a minor mishap at the boss and died while it was near death.

Of course no one ressed me so i waited for the others to kill it, a waypoint appears, i respawn right there aaaanddd……….

I’m out of the dungeon…

WTF!

Can’t you people wait for everyone to get the loot???

I did get the standard, instant loot with carvings, but there were 2 chests with loot that i didn’t get because someone was in a hurry or something…

Why is that even possible? Am i missing something?
Does the “party leader” need to be in a dungeon and exit last, or everyone exits with him?

What gives?

Yeah, i’m more angry/disappointed.
But it’s not like the world is going to end because of this, i just wanted to know why that happened…

Anyway, thank you for clearing that up. It would be better if you could stay in the dungeon even if the party leader quits.

“If you’re a party leader, leave last or ask if everyone’s done before exiting the dungeon!”

People usually do. Sometimes they can just forget though. Or be in a hurry. Or be a male genitalia.

dungeon instance is destroyed only if party leader leaves the party or changes character

if he just go out of the dungeon for a walk, or logout ,or disconnect – then nothing happens to the instance

A party leader can leave the dungeon without kicking you if he uses the little icon that appears in the right bottom corner, or if he uses a waypoint outside of the dungeon/WvW/whatever method to leave the instance.

If he leaves the party or swaps characters however, you will all be kicked.

Hahaha. Well yes, there’s no shortage of people that are male genitalia in any MMO…

Anyway, the leader left the party probably. The others were still in my party when i got kicked out of the dungeon…

In CoF everybody is in a hurry, especially PUGging. He could have just left the dungeon. But my guess is the instance leader just got in a rush and most likely forgot. Either leaving the dungeon then leaving party quickly, or just outright leaving the party as soon as the rewards popped.

95% you missed out on two blues and a green.

Anyway, the next run i got Monsoon out of those chests, so yeah, it’s possible i could have gotten something good…

The leader was great. Dungeon etiquette at it’s finest! Waited for everyone to quit the party, checked where the rest are and when everyone was out, he left the party himself…
