I want to try raiding.
For your reaper to be used in raids you will need Condi gear either Sinister or the better version Viper’s. Power reaper isn’t used in raids. For support you could level a Druid for heals and getting healing gear is realistically inexpensive

Would the Zerker ascended pieces be ok to mix with the exotic healing gear, and what would you suggest Zealots, Clerics?
I’m partial to the Druid simply because having that Raven Staff would be cool as heck with my Norn.
For druid Zealot armor(personally also staff) with berserker trinkets is good enough for a raid healer, with a good group it’s mostly overkill though, especially with monk runes.

Full disclosure: I run zealot armor on my druid, but it’s probably not the best choice.
I would recommend magi’s armor, especially if you’re going to mix with zerker trinkets. Unlike zealot, magi’s has healing power as the primary stat. Magi’s is also a lot cheaper — I believe you can craft it or get it from AC dungeon tokens.
That said, druid is a hard class for a first time raider. There was a similar thread about this topic. The consensus seemed to suggest reaper (with condition gear), warrior, revenant, or guardian. The heavy classes are nice because they all use berserker and you can generally share all your ascended sets between them.
Pls do NOT get zealot armor/weapons. Its a waste of good gold. (for druid). So why not, simple, staff do NO dmg and scale even worse, so wasting stats on dmg and using staff at the same time is.. useless. This leave you with 2 ways to play druid:
- If you want to be a full healer druid then go magi armor/staff (if you have AC tokens then that is a easy way to get this). Use monk runes and water+transference sigils. (the transference is not cheap, so you can wait abit with it). Get some cleric tinkets and heal your way to victory. This build is used for all the bosses is all 3 wings and is super effective.
- Or you can go off-healer, this is also quite usefull and “better” groups often use 2 off-healers and not a full healer for some of the bosses. You can go off-healer as either power or condi, condi is on full viper armor/tinkets/weapons (sh+a/t). And power is on full berserker armor/tinkets/weapons (s/a+lb).
Generally I’d recommend the full heal for you if you are new, both since its used at all the bosses but also since it often is what pug and lesser exp. groups run.
Last, learn what to do on your class, you might be there as a healer, but it will often also be your job to provide fury (tiger as pet) and GotL stacks (grace of the land, a trait).

Power Necros are used for tanking sometimes.
You don’t need to get zealot for druid, it is honestly a waste of money.
Most people I know just run Magis and some mix of clerics to ensure you don’t get more toughness than the tank (~1300 max usually).
It is extremely cheap to gear and in general used in every single raid encounter so far.
I’ve cleared all 9 bosses without meeting a zealot druid and unless you’re going for world records it doesn’t matter.
As others have said, don’t waste money on zealot. Magi armors/weapons + cleric trinkets is the way to go.
Staff doesn’t do much and celestial avatar do no damage. Also, you would probably doing more damage by constantly boosting 5 other players with grace of the land.
In general, as a healer, you want to maximize your healing power. This is what most group will require. Having more healing will make it easier to keep your teammates alive and you will get an easier kill on the boss.
The zealot madness was started by a tiny fraction of the raiding player base that want to set world record by maximizing every bit of dps.
Notes : I main a druid healer and cleared the first 2 wings several times.
