Idea: Better party compatibility for FotM
They should remove it at all. Every player should be able to play on whichever difficulty he wants, no matter if it’s his 1st or 1.000th time.
Occam Pi (Ele), Acaena Elongata (Warrior), Finja Salversdotir (Ranger),
Bytestream (Engineer), Vim Whitespace (Thief)
I am for any of the following:
1. Rid GW2 of all dungeons, make the open world even more then what it is.
2. As mentioned above, just drop all restrictions.
3. Example: (From another thread)
Player 1 – Level 5
Player 2 – Level 5
Player 3 – Level 3
Player 4 – Level 3
Player 5 – Level 1
Team Decides to play Level 5 (You can start at the highest level any player is at or lower)
After completion of Level 5
Player 1 – Level 6
Player 2 – Level 6
Player 3 – Level 4
Player 4 – Level 4
Player 5 – Level 2
That way you can’t power level someone from say 1 to 5 in one run, but they can be in a group running higher content then their level. Everyone just moves up one natural level on success.
These are much better solutions.
The problem is that gating every single level separately splinters groups unduly when the difficulty/rewards only make significant jumps at tiers. TBH, there should’ve just been 2 instances per tier, with or bonus boss, requiring 10 clears of either to “rank up”. Groups would’ve only been restricted by tier. For all intents and purposes exactly the same timesink/difficulty/reward as the current system without pointless population splintering.
Yup I posted the same sort of style as #3 awhile back. It just makes sense that way. It also breaks more people into 1-9 style “brackets”. Pre Agony – Post Agony – Post Agony +1 etc.
