If you're wanting gear from dungeons..

I think his point is, expecting “better drops” is foolish, as that’s not how the game is designed.

It will never happen! A Net has already stated this is not a gear dependent game. If you are looking to get good gear from dungeons than you’re looking the wrong way. If you want dungeons to actually give drops, it will never happen. Dungeons are suppose to be challenging and the only reward is the success of spending hours beating one. Once again, the game is not gear dependent, thus making the playing field equal for everyone. If you spend majority of your time playing the game or you spend little of your time playing, both will be equal. This is not a game where you can devote months playing, it’s a game where you hop in and out of, gaining all achievements that matter to how your character plays (Gear, Skill Points) within a short amount of time. It’s a casual MMO intended for the casual player and gear deters casual players from playing because people who spend time getting it will have a statistical advantage over them.
You should know that GW2 is all about horizontal progression game, not GEAR TREADMILLS WITH NO LIFE ENDLESSLY GRIND ALL THE TIME FOR BETTER STATS GEAR GAME. Players in this game seek for the gears that has better looking and suit with their play-style in their proper attributes rather than become more stats, more tiers, more powerful and make the entire game is all about mindless grinding game. So If you want “that” game please go back to plenty traditional MMOs.

I really expected this line
“You’re gonna have a bad time”
as the start of your post, its nice that you can get max level gear relatively easy and the focus is on getting a set of gear you like to look at rather than having the treadmill grind.
People aren’t complaining about the lack of treadmill, they’re complaining that dungeons give so little tokens and so little cash/loot (not even exotics, they barely give rares) that running them loses you money if you factor in the repairs.

what he said, from my own experience not so much that they are hard well they are, but its that time spent in one is actually detrimental to over all game experience because it hampers you. You spend a long time doing them and you DIE alot, usually leave you with a fat repair bill unless you are super perfect and never make a mistake and have best group set up.
I personally avoid them sheerly because i need my cash for crafting and skill books i cant afford to spend it all zerging down bosses.
