Lats time i played wow was a few years ago. The problem with gw2 dungeons im having is that its extremly frustrating and hard to actually react to boss abilities. gw2 has a strong effect overkill and u have to basically look at the boss at all times to dodge stuff.

it would be extremly helpful if there would be a notification on the screen (ofc it has to be possible to toggle it off) or at least in the chat.
like: huge boss dragon things takes a deep breath.

during coe submarine path in the final subject alpha fight at about 50% he just kept aggroing me all the time. and then he oneshotted me with his front aoe. i didnt see any way of dodging it.

it was just run in and get instantly oneshottet without haveing any chance to react. i just could postpone death by dodging 2 times and then get oneshottet.

i really like hard stuff, but i hate it when it gets unfair. also on flame citadel last boss path 1 (apart from the toughness this boss is anyway) there is way too little time to dodge the stuff from the ceiling. why mark the ground when its impossible to react quickly enough?
thats just one example , there are many occasions where the time to react on red circles is not long enough.

I wouldn’t mind some subtle audio cues for some fights (Kohler being a prime example) because of the clusterkitten of spell effects and body clutter that’s usually on him. Just a whirring noise or something else to cue me off taht I’m about to get wtfpwnt. And any other really small humanoid boss with similar properties.

As for actual ‘raid warnings’ on screen… no.

Kohler doesnt actually need stuff like that because the animation is really easy to notice. on subject alpha i struggled really hard. i dont want bossmods like in wow. but i want to be able to notice if the boss is doing is oneshot ability and be able to react to it. i dont care if its voice text or an animation thats easy it so see.

it’s easy to notice if he’s not standing in 3 layers of AoE and a norn/char warrior orgy.
It also gets a bit harder the farther you are from him due to poor camera fov. I’m sure it would be better if I was meleeing him, but as a clothie, I don’t feel particularly inclined to do so.

They could also just make his character model larger, so the effect is visible regardless of where I am.
