Q:
Important about future infused necklaces
We all know that you lose the infusion when upgrading an ascended trinket in the mystic forge so if someone decides to stick an expensive infusion in the amulet, that’s on them. Besides, if someone wants to infuse their amulet, that must mean they run fotm on that character – so wouldn’t they rather add an agony resistance infusion to the amulet anyway? An alternative is to have two amulets; a non-infused version with your expensive infusion for pve/dungeon farming, and an infused version for fotm. That’s my plan, anyway. One day…
They probaly havent even came out with the idea as thres no news on it and your alrady complaining about something that doesnt exist? /next
Infusing trinket is only for extra AR.
It’s obvious you don’t care about that so it will be no problem.
Thanks for your answers guys.
@rozcinana.7249 : I like the idea of 2 amulets yeah, though a bit expensive if you have alts, but quite effective if there’s no change.
@JJBigs.8456 : I don’t see where I’m complaining, but you probably have not read the whole thing … It’s asking for information and sensibilize opinion to prevent future complaining.
@Sovta.4719 : Actually, you can afford to “lose” only 5 AR on this to play high level fractals, though it hurts a bit, you can still survive at Jade so no, it’s not ok
I would actually like to see a change to the acquisition of amulets and accessories. It would be nice to be able to get them doing the content they were (at least partially) deisgned for: by doing Fractals of the Mist. They ought to be made tradeable for Fractal Relics or Pristine Fractal Relics.
That would solve your problem, and mine as well.
e: and it would be coherent with the acquisition of all other dungeon specific gear.

I have a Triforge with the Gilded Infusion & a Beserker Amulet with +5 AR/ +5 Power
and refuses to spare the life in return for the surrender at discretion (unconditional surrender)
of a vanquished opponent.
The lack of communication on this issue is frustrating. The question whether the amulets/accessories will have inherent infusion at all has been brought up numerous times on the forums since the release of the amulets. Not a single time has developer commented such a topic.
Thus, Mr Hrouda. You (and John from the SAB) have my uttermost respect from being regularly in touch with your community through the forums. Can you comment on this one too? If you don’t know/decide about the ascended items, can you have a coffee break with someone who does and ask him/her about it?
Would help a lot with informed decisions in terms of adding expensive infusions!
I think in the meantime, buy amulets but don’t put any infusion in them, as it’s pretty likely we’ll be kittened on this issue, unless there’s an answer on it in between.

It’s what intelligent people do. We identify that eating too many doughnuts is going to cause us to get fat before we get fat. That way we are able to make a decision to stop eating doughnuts before we are fat.
Identifying potential problems and avoiding them is far more effective than letting them slip past and having to go back later to fix them. Most of the scenario the OP is talking about is informed on the current mechanics the system uses. If the developers haven’t already considered this scenario, they certainly should.

Pretty much this, that’s why this thread is here and isn’t named “omg omg give us that /complain”.
Would be interested to see how many players won’t put an infusion into their amulets until we can get them infused :P

Infused amulet will have bonus +5 AR with base stats? So why do you care if you just want MF (i can smell MF leecher from a mile) and “you can afford to lose 5 AR to play high level fractals”? (eventually you will need every piece of AR for maw)
I love people judging you without knowing anything. Now if you want to know, I run a full zerk mesmer with great DPS and support, pretty much different from what you’re saying, heh ?
The amulet doesn’t have MF, which I hate, but +20% gold on mobs, pretty handy when I’m farming classic dungeons, and I don’t sacrifice any stat for this.
My aim is not to run the highest levels of fractal but run higher levels, the levels I can while missing 5 AR from this amulet, it’s more sometimes, for fun, since highest levels of fractals aren’t much rewarding.
