I just joined a group through the LFG tool for a lv19 fractal…
First was the swamp and we did it on the 2nd try, but then on the boss one guy died right away and said “nevermind, 0 AR, just kill it”
He went on with this logic, on the snow one later he played so bad intentionally, as if trying to get himself killed. According to him he didn’t care about fractals and only wanted to reach level 20 before he quit the game or something
I tried to explain to him that this is a bad thing to do and that you only become a burden to the party that will carry you through, and when asking him why the replies where in the form “because I can” and “just shut up and play”
I had suspected the only reason he behaved this way was because he had opened the instance, but well I can’t put up with leeches so we kicked him anyway, and then the rest left, you know how it goes…

So this brings me to the topic, the current system feels pretty wrong right now…
One person can screw them all over, by being an a*hole or buy simply quitting after a wipe… Even if it meant a reset to the nearest checkpoint, the instance should pass on to someone else….

I have seen threads about the same topic before, I just think this really deserves more attention from the devs…

Yup the whole instance owner thing is a problem even if it is not abused.

Someone should start a “The only thing I want for 2014 is the instance owner fixed” thread like a petition and just have the thread grow into something that cannot be ignored.

I mean we all know that Anet is aware of the issue, but I’m curious as to what it would take to bump it up on their prioirty list.

Considering there’s always at least 2 threads on the front page about this issue, I’d say Anet doesn’t care.
