Hello all,
Basically what the title is asking. I’ve been playing GW2 for some time, but I’ve only ever really played the PvP and WvW portions of the game. Out of the maybe, 2 years I’ve been playing, those are the only game types I’ve actually played. Eventually, I got bored, switched to other MMO’s and got a feel for PvE in those games and find myself really enjoying them. But I still have this itch to play GW2 once more because I love the combat mechanics, I love the classes, and the fluidity of how you can basically build your character how you want. So my question is, is PvE still alive? Is the popularity as large as its PvP counterpart? Is it worth playing? What are the rewards?
Thank you.

Well, loot is always a driving factor.
People like me with limited playtime/week need to utilize their time. Result; we prioritize high reward contend. I love the game ad a whole. Even queensdale has a lot to offer. But Im not given a lot of incentive to prioritize those maps in ym very limited gametime over CS, MultiLoot-Basin, and fractals. And I think a lot of people share a similar sentiment. Whether they just need the money or dont have enough time for unrewarding content.

PvE will always be more alive than wvw or pvp imo. However, with the way the heart of thorns maps are designed what you do will probably depend on what time you log in. ANET is getting better though with blood stone fen.
