I am kittening tired of posting EXPERIENCED when looking for dungeons and then brand new people wander into the group then halfway through they will say “o yea btw im new”
I don’t care if you have a bad build and want to use a longbow with a warrior fine as long as you know the dungeon.
I don’t mind teaching new players a dungeon from time to time but why when I want to get a dungeon done relatively quickly the kittens always tend to join.
I seriously need to find a guild or get some people that are halfway decent to start doing dungeons with…
Simple fix. Start adding people who run good builds/gear and are cool people. Hit them up when you do dungeon runs and start off like that. I have built up a list of a bout 15 experienced arah runners to keep me from hating life in too many pugs.

Other side of the coin: I tend to avoid dungeons altogether because I hardly know the proper ways to skip content and don’t want to be a burden on the group.

If people aren’t asking for experienced players then it’s fine. It’s just pretending to be experienced when you don’t even know where the dungeon is that makes me laugh.
Lol “I know how to play well”. Yea people need to realize that people who join experienced runs don’t want to carry someone who has no clue what they’re doing. Just makes for an unnecessarily long run, and most likely a kick for that guy. Pretty easy to tell who’s new from the start. I don’t mind helping new people every so often, but in those cases I won’t put experienced only.
I lol’d.. thats a pretty funny response. whenever i join a ta group thats say ‘exp only’ theres always some clueless newbie that joins and asks questions like “is this story? are we doing p2? whats u/u?” it makes me laugh and want to beat them over the head with a stick, nowadays I just call insta-kicks rather than sitting them down and explaining it to them. Recently this dude joined for the same post for TA, he was like “lets goo!!” and charges in, at the 1st part he asks the group to stack and pulls the dogs to us. I ran off to escape since his stupidity was contagious, the rest of my group proceeded to wipe and after that he just left without a word.
But seriously..I dont mind carrying newbies every now and then. When were doing a dung run for all paths, we finish one path and say on the next 1 someone ’fesses up and says there new to the path. So we all provide them some tips and get through that 1 OK. But what I hate is people not admitting they are new, acting like theyve done it before when in certain paths like CoF/CoE P1 and AC (spider boss)..it actually matters whether you are, since if you dont say anything it will cost your group valuable time/result in unnecessary wipes…

If its any consolation, at least s/he replied you. Some will just say “hi” and when I ask “Is anyone new to this path?”, I get crickets. Up until there needs to be some individual coordination efforts and they just stare blankly at each other.
The funniest thing I’ve gotten is that I posted “Arah p4 speed run exp only need zerk warriors/DPS” under Arah on Ingame LFG, some guy shows up asks what the path is, we say 4 and he was like “holy **** 4 hahaha!” Turns out he didn’t even know we were running Arah, he thought we were doing fractals lmao
You clearly have not watched the developer livestream…
The tool was not made for people to learn how to read, but to find a group as fast as possible. It is really good at the latter.
On a serious note: The description field is borderline useless because some people seem to not care for this at all. Now I understand that this tool was meant for players to find groups fast, but getting kicked out of the group because the ones that opened the group wanted to do explorer path 3 where you wanted to do story does not help in that regard, does it. (And no, you wont get people to do what you want unless they have some benefit doing that)
One type of person you shouldn’t be too kitten is the oldie (as opposed to newbie). Players who have returned after a 5 or 6 months break do not know the new skips, the new tactics, etc that are currently used. Boss mechanics may have changed too. If anyone bothers to tell them anything they might not perform too badly.
Interestingly enough, those “oldies” are the ones that actually do mention that they are absent from whatever period and ask for any recent changes. No problem with them. Similarly when I came back from my 4month hiatus, I told my party about it and they were also alright with it.

I got one of these yesterday in TA from a ranger with 853 AP I am not usually the AP == skill people but it is like… I posted as EXPERIENCED Aetherblade EXPERIENCED which equates to knowing the path…
It ended up with me leaving though because they might have known the path but they didn’t know how to play well…

Yeah that very same group in that picture about 3 of them decided to try and fight the dogs. I exited the game and havent been in a dungeon since. There is only so much i can take from pugs, maybe ill be up to dealing with LFG next week.
I also have no problem helping noobs every now and then but not every run especially when i have limited time.
I really dont like when people say they know the dungeon when they clearly havent been there before. No you running into the two vines and the blossom field as soon as you get there will not convince me you have run TA before.
People who dont respond when i ask who has run the dungeon before are almost an instant kick at this point because 70% imo are horrible.
I also dont care about AP either unless the person has less than 1k, then im watching you closely. I had one dude with 600 AP tell me he knew UP path and predeced to die 4 times before we even got past the Champ vine. Thanks for playing, kick.

TA Up is the original u/u path, new ones just referred to as aether path. Yea, AP doesn’t make much of a difference to me unless the person has say 500 AP and were in a Arah group, I’ll keep an eye out. Even then, there are folks who have 8k points and haven’t ran a certain dungeon path before so it all depends on what you go for when you cap.

Today I made experimental lfg ad with “DO NOT JOIN” description. I guess you should guess how that end.
I’ve done that plenty of times before, then just sit in the group and say nothing. Some people left instantly, others left after a few minutes and then there was some people who stayed for at least 15 minutes, even when i kept reposting the LFG ad.

Like for arah, I ask “Which hand does Lupi melee with”. If they don’t respond quickly or correctly, they get the boot!
I meleed lupi over 50 times now and I wouldn’t be able to answer quickly, simply because I never think about it, but if I recall I think it’s the right one?
