Jade Kraken Timed Mote
There is no challenge mote – the challenge starts as soon as any player crosses into the jade maw area. The line for crossing over is farther back than you would think.
You can tell if it starts because you should get a countdown challenge on your buff bar.
Make sure the jade maw you’re doing is on a high enough level to qualify for the challenge. Good luck.

You can do any Jade Maw Level, since the Minimum reqiurement (20) is the lowest Jade Maw there is. The same is true for all Time-Challenges of Ad Inifinitum, except for the last, where you have to beat Mai Trin on the highest possible scale, 100.
Good Luck on your Legendary journey.
thanx guys.
oooh..the timer is on the buff bar….hahaha..ok… I looked for it somewhere on the right upper side of the screen ^^;
until now we didn’t beat it… think we lack damage somehow

Yeah, I’d go as far as to say that Jade Maw is the tightest of the four. Because damage on jade maw itself is independent from the players’ builds. Your best bet is to go for every opportunity he gives you to reflect an attack. If you miss two in the first half of the fight you’ll already lose a lot of time. In the second half it’s a little more forgiving because he fires at twice the rate. Oher than that just go for as many tentacles as you can. They are easier to kill than the Jade Colossi and each drops two crystals so you should have enough.
Just keep trying, once you figure it out it’s quite an easy challenge. Just make sure that…
a) your party reflects every laser beam with crystals and doesn’t dodge it. If you dodge, you’ll lose too much damage on the kraken and thus waste time
b) your party focuses on killing the colossi asap. The sooner you trigger the last phase of the fight, the faster you’ll get the fight done

Remember, that you do need to kill all the colossi or at some point the tentacles will simply stop spawning. Also, it’s killing the colossi that triggers the second phase, with more frequent beam attacks.
So yeah,
1. ignore the irukandji, kill 2 starting tentacles asap.
2. kill the colossi as fast as possible, while still remembering to reflect all the beams
3. kill tentacles
also, one important point
4. don’t die. Ressing costs you way too much time.
On the whole, it’s not that hard, there’s quite a leeway. We did it even while not reflecting all of the attacks, and having one person beamshotted. The key lies in not messing up on colossi – if you’ll take too much time there, you won’t be able to recover later.
Also, while i do remember Anet patching it out at some point in history, it seems that killing tentacles still decreases Maw’s health bar. So, kill the tentacles even when you don’t need more crystals.

Just kill everything in the room and you’ll get it. Done it twice this way, and twice it has worked. Just make sure everyone is going hard on the dps/ focus firing.
Would get the last fractal mastery thing too it will keep you from being downed by the jade attack for the first time you get hit by it if you didnt lose to much health before hand and lose the buff.
