Karma at Dungeons? Good change!
This change was exactly what I needed to keep me going and doing dungeons, and even expand to new dungeons here and there. The karma/hour is, if not competitive with Plinx-farming, by no means unreasonable on its own, as it’s more than possible to get ~3600 or even ~5400 karma/hour, sans boosters, by running the faster dungeon paths.
I’m attempting to pursue a legendary, and I will freely admit it greatly irked me that doing dungeons (one of my favorite activities in GW2) and getting my legendary were almost mutually exclusive.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the change so far. We’ve got more in store, and we’ll be watching it carefully to determine what type of balance it needs.
Of course, things like the Zerg train and such also need attention, so we can balance out the K/pm that players can get to make it more unified throughout the game, and give players actual options in the content they wish to pursue for their desired objectives.
Even though I don’t agree with zerg trains and think thats not how the game should be played… those conglomerations of players are the only ones remaining… meta events are not crowded anymore (except for the 2 dragons).
I’m guilty of doing the zerg train every now and then. Mostly because it just breaks the monotony of doing dungeons (which I love doing) and/or exploring. Not a fan of sPVP or WvWvW right now.

Do you know if the bosses and chest have “loot table” or if they improved the drops, because they were doing something along those lines.

@Krulz – that hasn’t been implemented yet, saw a dev post where they wanted to push it for Halloween update, but it isn’t ready yet.
So…..one-three more weeks I guess=/

It did not make it into this patch. We’re hard at work on it though.

agreed. adding karma to dungeons was a fantastic idea. i got my dungeon master title 2 days before patch and its looking like everyone is going to have the title soon since they can run dungeons for karma and loot and tokens. meaning i dont have to shout for too long to get a group going like i used to. but also it means more baddies will be joining the pug shouts. downside to every upside i suppose. but all in all i like the addition. now just make all the bugs in dungeons go away and we’ll be all set :P
This is a good change, no question about it.
@Ashontear, I don’t think 2000 karma will motivate ppl to do more Arah runs and for most that is the bottleneck at obtaining the DM title.
I like this change a lot, even though I had not yet gone through the grindy process of zerg chaining in the orr areas. Dungeons are what I do daily and karma is what I need.
One question: Does anyone know if the new dungeon karma rewards are affected by DR? It seems it’s affected by a certain guild bonus for karma.
Thanks everyone who worked on implementing Karma system in dungeons. It was pretty much my only complaint about dungeons, so I’m glad it went live now
If you are also going to improve the loot quality, that’s gonna be great. Some people love doing dungeons, and dungeons only, so for us it’s the only source of drops, karma and gold. Would be nice if we had some better chances for rare drops with unique skins.
