It’s unacceptable to be kicked without any reason from a party…this plague is continuosly ruin this game..

Its not possible make a 3 hour fractal and being kicked at the final boss…

Please make this conduct, at least, reportable..

Report how? How would Anet keep the data from every dungeon run and what data exactly to begin with?
Best solution for this is go1 or 2 friends, and/or open.

Also the eternal more than 2 votes for a kick.

It’s reasons like this why I only do fractals or dungeons with people on my friends list or from the same guild. Too many elitists kicking people like schoolboy bullies.

And yes, as second posts states, it would be very difficult for Arena Net to monitor what goes on in every dungeon run. However, if there’s a log kept for reports on ‘Party Abuse’ or something, and the same name(s) keep popping up, that gives them a good idea of who’s doing what to some extent.

If you do get kicked from a party and you feel it was unfair, best thing to do is probably block them, so you know never to party with them again.

If there is a group of people that is using a pug for doing the hard work and then kicking him at the end of the dungeon to free the spot for a friend of theirs, saving said friend from doing the work to get the end chest, I really think that this should be considered griefing.

Since Fractals is the main place this could happen (most other dungeon runs are too fast to allow it) one option would be to kick all members from the fractal sequence if there is a kick in the 3rd or 4th fractal.

Kicking should be used for griefers or uncollaborative players. If a player is so bad that you have to kick him at the end of a dungeon, the group should be willing to forfeit the prizes for them too.

I pug a lot. I mean, a lot. I mean, I rarely do anything other than pug, due to a hectic schedule. And I can count the number of times I’ve been anonymously kicked from a group: 0.

Or you just got lucky. I stopped doing dungeon runs a long time ago because of a combination of kicking and elitism.

Dungeons need a single player mode, even if it’s for the story path alone, or hireable heroes to fill in the gaps when you haven’t got enough mates online to accompany you.

That’s why YOU should be the party creator. Therefore you can invite your friends and fill with pugs.

Overall these issues would not be issues if people made their own groups. Even pugs. Just make your own, seriously.

If there are people that won’t play with you in pugs there are people that will play with you in pugs out there.
Just make your own party for goodness sake…

I agree with Blood Red Arachnid. I have to PuG quite often because, though I am in an active guild, it is sometimes hard to get a full party or some volunteers. So I go to the LFG tool. I have never seen a elitist in this game and have never gotten kicked from the game.

I suppose I got lucky. Or rather, I’m still getting lucky. Because I still pug, to this day. I just got done pugging CoE.

The interesting thing is, I’ve seen people get kicked from teams before. Sometimes it is from someone being trollish or picking fights, or refusing to follow simple instruction while being incompetent, or bringing in toons underneath the recommended level. Sometimes, the LFG will ask for specific classes, or specific gear, and people will join up without it. Sometimes, people will join a group with a friend who is clearly AFK and doesn’t show up after 10 minutes of waiting. Sometimes there will be bad blood between players from previous encounters.

I’m not exactly some dungeon running master. I’m clumsy, I’m not well liked by elitists, and outside of the forums I’m not famous at all. I only open dungeons on occasion, too. So, when I can run dungeons continuously and not have issues of anonymous, unexplained kicks, then it makes me wonder. I think that two things are happening:

#1: the guys who do kick everyone from a dungeon unprovoked are extremely rare, and the severity of their act makes them disproportionately represented in the community. You can talk about that one time this happened, but what doesn’t get said are the hundreds of times it doesn’t happen.

#2: There is more going on than complaints are telling. I’ve seen people omit their dirty laundry all the time, whether by an inability to admit wrongdoing, or an inability to care.

You could make it that in 3rd or 4th Fractals, kicking someone from a party requires either a) the person has disconnected from the game or left the dungeon, or b) all four of the other party-members agree to the kick. In a pug group, would at least make it so some discussion had to happen.

Almost all of my fractals are pug runs, out of the probably 200 or so runs I have only ever seen a couple people be kicked for being REALLY terrible, or afk for 5 minutes.

Well In some dungeons I prefer to be owner, Especially in TA where I like running my ranger, I’ve been kicked in TA a lot due to ppl wanting all heavies and bla bla.. even at the endboss. And I really dislike it.

I have had quite a lot of LOL’s and even ROFLMAOs with (In-Party-)guild mates when the party found out I was owner quite close after their actions… also quite far into the run, also in Fractals (even with idiots on our TS, I’ll not repeat the things said afterwards). I know the other 4 ppl will give the kicker a “mean reply” on his stupidity.

And NO, I’m not a BearBow.
IMHO if you want to run dungeons as a ranger , be owner, ALWAYS and running a dungeon with all pugs is dangerous when running certain builds or build combo’s, but If you can find 2 guildies you will own a dungeon if one of the guildies opened. When running with 2 guildies, kicking of a guildie is punished with the same action against the perpetrator, which is maybe unwanted but neccesary.

But I normally also watch the party before start.

Just to name a few of bad builds and combo’s
- Condimancers with other condition builds in 1 party (with more then 2 condi’s I leave anyways. 2 could work certainly if its a necro and a mesmer)
- Cleric warriors/guardians Well they’ll keep a party alive, but doing CoF 1 will take 25 minutes, I prefer to do p1 and 2 in the same time
- sword warriors outside Arah.
- lastly I only saw it once : the feared condi guard…..
- the Bearbow?
PPL wearing shields in DPS groups, or condition weapons. Mace guardians, double mace warriors…..

I do not make assumptions on AP or armor skins. I have played perfect runs of AC with lvl 80’s below 1000 AP I also seen ppl running builds, well….. No I do not want to think about it…

The group was bad. Or you. And you get kicked for a reason, which remained unexplained for you or/and you didn’t even realised the problem.

I’m level 50 fractal personal rew., and, running with pugs, i find a lot of them very good and a lot of them very bad.

I can assure you that, if you’re bad and the party has been not kicked you before, at second quit of final fractal (mai, for example) you’ll probably be kicked.

Cause you’re bad, or bad with that party. Try to work with this. Improve yourself and no one will ever kick you.

I’ve been kicked a few times from fractals. The memorable ones were once when I was drunk, another time when I was deliriously awake at stupid o clock in the morning and another time when I stupidly forgot to reskill before going into the boss fight. i.e I got kicked when I was being stupid which is fair enough.

Otherwise, I pull my weight in a fight. I used to hit the pre-update fractals (when they went up to 80) regularly with guildies but many of them stopped playing GW2 so I PUG mostly these days except when other guildies want to get some training in so I show them the baby fractals.

Most of the parties I’ve been in that have kicked someone usually do so because they’re incredibly bad, afk or trolling. One particularly memorable player was so bad but thought he was so good and just kept dying thus slowing down the entire group. He then had the gall to blame it on the rest of the party for not backing him up. So it was a very quick bye bye.

Seconded.

Get good enough to carry yourself and someone else. That way you can compensate for the failures of others when appropriate and not have to worry about getting kicked. About getting kicked to make a spot for the hosts’ guildmates, you can avoid it by hosting your own runs or pay attention to the small cues that give scammers away, such as everyone being in the same guild, unusual quietness and anything suspicious.
Another measure that may or may not help when in a shifty group would be taking screens at the end of the third Fractal, so that you can at least remember their names to issue a report.

Keep in mind that these suggestions do not assure that you won’t get kicked unfairly, but they’ll sharply decrease the likelihood of that taking place.

I will mention that I have never been kicked from pugs in this game.

I used to get kicked from pugs quite often, especially when I did Arah. I admitted to myself that I sucked and wanted to get better. I asked for help on the forums, admitting to my suckiness (admitting you have the problem is the first step in correcting it), found a few mentors, practiced my rear end off, and got my first Lupi solo 10 days ago. [Yes, I remember the day :-)]

I would also second [third?] the previous suggestions to get better. If you can carry the party through any path in any dungeon, you’ll not get kicked 99% of the time, and if you do get kicked for scamming purposes [or heit trolled], you can report it and possibly something’ll get done.

Most dungeons are soloable. A few are significantly more fun solo than with a full party.
