So i was minding my own business doing Crucible of Eternity exploitable path 1 with a pick up group I found on hot join. I did all the work with the team as they asked for experienced people as we got all the way through to the lost boss. Out of no were the two guys who were in the same guild and who started the dungeon started to kick people from the group and adding people from the guild. With out warning i was immediately kicked out of the dungeon.

With the new release of no one particularly owning the dungeon the problem still arises you can do all the work from the dungeon and then kicked immediately by any two who decide to kick from the party. I get none of the rewards and did all of the the works for the submarine path one of the longest paths just so these two could get three guild members and easy dungeon completion it seems unfair.

How can we address it? It only takes two to screw over an entire group. I get that Annet wants us to get along and work together but this proves you can’t trust other people and will divide the community. I am a dungeon master and run them all the time completed many speed clears with great time for fun. But i am going to stop inviting people to teach or help them through dungeon paths if all i get is kicked. I’ll just wait for the people i can trust to play then waste my time with players that kick to get a quick gain.

The better question is How can we get people to stop posting these threads about being kicked?

The answer, once again, is either group with friends or open the instance yourself and start your own lfg post. Anet doesn’t even need to get involved, you can solve the problem on your own.

No rules or legislation or changing of the game to another kicking format is going to stop people from being kitten’s. This is the internet after all…..

Unfortunately there is nothing you/we can do. Reporting the offenders does nothing either, even if you are able to present evidence that they were the ones doing the kicking. Anet believes they’re adressing the problem in the next feature patch, but in fact they’re only making it even worse since the original instance owner no longer will be pseudo-immune to kicks. Your best bet is unfortunately to run with people you trust or make sure you’re the instance owner, though the latter won’t be an option in less than two weeks.

I’m too suspicious of people skewing these stories and just claiming the people that kicked them were guildmates trying to reinvite others to care. You’d have no way of knowing why you were kicked unless they flat-out told you ingame.

Yes it sucks to get kicked and have your time wasted, but nobody can do anything about it. If there was no kicking function, then that’d cause more problems than there currently are.

minority rules for Anet. People have been angry at the 2/5 kick system since release day. 3/5 would make this harder, but you’ll never be able to eliminate this completely. even if 4/5 were required to kick it might still happen.

personally I think 3/5 should have been required since day one as that’s a majority and getting 4/5 to agree on something is often not easy to do.

Sadly, you are correct about post September 9th, but either way, the OP is posting long before that. At the very least we could have a “calm before the storm”.
