Korga solo 5:21
Why do you do this to yourself.
Because it’s what I like to do
Why do you do this to yourself.
Because he likes a challenge I guess. (And maybe has a little, very little masochistic streak?)
Congrats though! Last time I watched your stream he speed glitched and you weren’t able to finish him iirc, or am I wrong?
You can still finish him even if he gets the speed glitch, but it’s really really really impractical for a speed kill and there’s absolutely no way you can get the fastest possible time when he has it. If you saw me stop fighting him and restart instance, it’s probably because I was trying for my best time on it haha.
Edit: you can actually see him with the speed glitch in this video. See when he rushes way far off at 3:29? Well this is the “normal” speed glitch where he gets 2x movement speed. Worst I’ve ever seen was when he had 4x movement speed and he moved so freakin’ fast it was like a lightning bolt rushing past… but I’ve only seen a 4x movement speed one once. He sometimes gets 3x ones, in which case may as well just give up cause he’ll fly all over the kitten place :|

congratulation :p good luck on doing a sub5min
I need to ask this, and this isn’t intended to come across as rude if it at all does, but do you do anything, and I mean literally anything else other than solo Arah?
I really don’t think I’ve ever, not once popped into your stream and not seen you solo that same dungeon.
I gather you like soloing it for the enjoyment as it’s challenging, but how does doing from what I’ve seen, the same 4 paths over and over not get boring? o.o

Truth is, this game does not offer any interesting solo content (or barely any) so people are stuck repeating the same thing everyday. Just like people run the same 15 dungeons path everyday. I’m pretty sure Miku would love to see a evolving “queen’s gauntlet” content but Anet is never going to actually do it.
The reason why Arah, boss have interesting mechanic compared to other bosses, also their healthpool is perfect for solo content unlike lower level dungeon where most boss would die in 1 minute even solo.

Hey! I’ll give you a very detailed answer and don’t worry you aren’t coming across as rude thanks to the way you worded that.
First of all, yeah I do more than just solo Arah. Not only do I actually pug it more frequently as of lately (due to it being so horrible to sell these days), but I occasionally do FotM runs, sometimes other dungeons and sometimes even stream my daily Tequatl kills and stuff. Other than that I very rarely will set foot into WvW (especially on stream).
Secondly, I typically don’t leave my stream on when I’m doing things that aren’t crazy soloing stunts. I like to think to myself of whether or not the activity I’m doing would be at least moderately entertaining to me if I were watching and if not, I may just prefer not to stream it. An example of this was when I recently made a thief due to a lot of people requesting me to. I don’t think it’s necessary for me to stream that because the entertainment factor of it is really limited and also there’s usually always a lot of people streaming “leveling up my new _! come join me!” streams running.
To add to that, I usually like to at least try to be unique. I wouldn’t care about streaming myself doing Arah solos and mountain goat adventures and FotM solos/duos or whatever if people could just go on the GW2 twitch page and see the same thing in several other channels. I wasn’t aware of it when I first started streaming but there’s not a whole lot of options for people that want to watch PvE content being done that they can learn from. I’m well aware of the fact that as I improved my own skills, it helped a lot of others learn too.
I also know that a lot of people really really really like the music that I play and that’s kind of always been something I feel that I’ve done right— collecting some really awesome mp3’s
As for the last thing you said about whether or not it bores me— the answer is yes, sometimes it does. I normally do not repeat a path more than once per day and most of the time I don’t even do all 4 Arah paths. Occasionally you might see me constantly soloing and resetting my instances due to RNG/a few minor inconveniences that irritate me/slow me down/me making mistakes or whatever, but if that’s the case it might be because I’m trying to get a full run recorded and beat my best time.
I, like many others here, like to try to perform at my best when I can. The difference is, I’m a nutcase and if I feel motivated for it at the time will reset the instance and waste as much expensive nourishment/consumable stealths that it takes to get what I want. :P
