LF Guardians in fractals fail
http://www.youtube.com/user/randomfightfan/videos?view=0&flow=grid
its asking for a tanky alt to carry the hammer, and be the majority seal hitter. squishers take too much dps from picking up hammer + going out in the fray or not knowing they might need invuln etc.
Is this your daily LFG fail post or something. No screenshot this time though how come.

It didn’t make me face palm nearly as hard as that warrior post so I didn’t feel it warranted me going through all the extra effort of taking a screen, pasting it to paint, saving the picture, and uploading the pic to the internet. Only truly elite fails earn that privilege.
@ Bigs, there isn’t a class that can swing the hammer safer than the thief. Invis to seal, swing, dodge back and steal back to group. Get another charge, shadowstep through the tunnel, swing, shadowstep and be back inside the tunnel with no agro. If you+your team is efficient, you can get 3 swings off before getting stunned.

A DPS guardian can perma blind these mob nearly as much as your thief, sorry man if you thought it was something that made your thief special. Virtue of justice regenerates on kill -> virtue of justice blinds -> blinds puts vulnerability on mobs and it’s AoE. Couple that with greatsword blind and sword/focus two blinds and you can do so much blind it’s not funny. Of course, most pugs on gw2lfg asking for a guardian probably want a “tank” in full PVT and AH trait set up so that guy probably wouldn’t do much blinding particularly if he wields a hammer.
Anyway, blinds are one of the reasons why we do a dual “anchor guardian” + “dps guardian” set up in speedclears groups for FOTM. Not the only reason, but there is great synergy having two guardian with wildly different builds.
Can’t really recall if it’s true for arm seals but it’s certainly true for chest seal – virtue of justice don’t renew itself on those mobs there.

It only renews on the first few that are there originally. Any others that spawn after wouldn’t count assuming all on-kill skills work the same. At least that’s how it works for warrior last I’ve seen. You can rally off them from downed but if you use vengance, you can’t save yourself from dying.

Yes, basically mobs that spawn indefinitely don’t drop anything, don’t give sigil stacks, can’t get sweet revenge and VoJ don’t renew. Thief and ele is still better than guardian there.

I’d even say necro would be better as well with all their blinds and good aoes.

Actually, I wouldn’t spit on a necro on high level fractals. 1 mes 1 guardian should have enough reflects and boons without the desperate need to have a second guard. Blinds, CCs/staff AoE and the awesome Plague go a long way in a place where ascalonian warriors oneshot a 3k armor guardian. The problem is I had only one decent necro in my team (a pug), of all the parties I’ve been in… Need to be a beast to make it work half decently. Might aswell reroll guardian and smash buttons randomly.
thief + mes on this fractal = win.
Phantasmal warden +reflect can take out an entire side of chanters and negate all of their damage while breaking the seal. Stack the chanters, drop a warden on the vet, melee down, reflect if necessary. Thief stealth/ mobility + port can make this part go fast.
You will rarely, if ever, see something like that happen in a PUG though. Most PUGs people think grabbing the hammer will give them a weird rash or something.
