So I’m sure plenty of people have dealt with groups that kick you from their group once you’re at boss and try to sell your spot or just because they’re trolls. As I understand it, anet added the LFG abuse report system for that. (If I’m correct), what I don’t understand is after you actually are kicked, every bit of chat history from your team, etc, is completely wiped, making it unable to reference the names. Unless we’re supposed to memorize each name the moment we join a group just in case this might happen, I’m not sure what the point is. Am I missing something here? Is there some option to keep that history recorded?

Nothing at the moment other than to write names down or take a screenshot. Seems like a simple fix to let you keep party chat after you leave or are removed from a group, it’s something a lot of people have asked for.

I’d hope that you could just submit a ticket with the time/dungeon/your account name and the powers that be can lookup who was in your party, and hopefully even who kicked you. If they can find out that the party later advertised spots for sale, I imagine that there should be some action taken (I’d say that this behavior should earn a permaban…it is the ultimate expression of kittenishness).

Yeah, chat disappearing is a pretty stupid feature. I’ve never been kicked, but if I were, I’d be furious because I never screenshot or remember names. Plus you never know who kicked you anyway.

Just write down their name and use the merge bug to destroy their instance. Pay back is a kitten.
