Hi everyone and ANet,

So I’m not sure where else to post this and I figured this might be the best place to do it. I enjoy running dungeons, from beginning to the end. Whether we’re zerging or just enjoying the scenery, I enjoy running a dungeon from start to finish. Now please, don’t take this as a judgement on those who have found other ways of playing. People are free to choose how they spend their time in the game, and if they don’t like running the entire dungeon and only want to get that last boss on 1% that’s up to them. I find no fault with that. I just wanted to make my preference clear.

Recently, with the selling of the Arah paths, I’ve had my own party hijacked on more than one occasion. I explicitly stated that this was a fun run through Arah, and I’ve even emphasised that this was not for payment. Someone would later join my group change the description to – solo training, or 12g for whatever- and the moment I protest I get kicked out of my own group. Someone in a previous topic already suggested that a higher vote count be implemented if someone is to be kicked from a party and I second that recommendation. Also I would suggest that the person who created the lfg be the only one with authority to change the description of the group.

My second qualm has to do with the reporting system. I understand that the current in game lfg is still in beta and that there are many player reporting all sorts of things, so the screen process of reports have to be streamlined. If, however, the only evidence ANet looks at is the chat history, it may be difficult to discern why the particular person is being reported, in the case of a party/lfg hijacking.

Thank you for reading through my long whining post. I hope that my account won’t get terminated because I’ve reported people for taking the fun out of the game for me.

It is highly unlikely that someone would join a party in the lfg tool just to change the description, isn’kitten I mean they could just make their own lfg post. (= the person that ends up in your group didn’t want to be there either)
It is more likely that your group, aswell as the seller/exploit teacher/whatever group got ninja’d by some BHB-Whiteknight-Wannabebatman who does not like seeing these posts in the lfg tool.
Raising the amount of votes it takes to kick someone wont change that issue. You probably did not even get kicked, the other griefed person just left and made a new lfg.
Changeing the way the lfg tool works would help (making it like requesting a party invite, with the choice of decline).
In regards of reporting the abuse of the lfg system: As some devs already said, using it is at your own risk. I think the only reportable thing is advertising 3rd party gold sellers and stuff like that, not selling a dungeon or reporting someone for hijacking your instance (where you can not even be sure WHO did it).

If a party of two joins a group and they start the dungeon (Aka, the party of two is the instance owner), they now own the group and have the ability to kick everyone else out of the party at the end and sell runs. That really can’t be allowed. It’s not “Oops I joined the wrong type of group, lemme change it to fit my playstyle.”
