There aren’t many portal spots, and the constant quickness is nice.

Copying tactics is fine. It’s not as admirable as finding new and impressive tactics, but a record is a record. There’s no reason to begrudge teams for copying tactics and executing them better or copying tactics after a DPS buff to fill in the leaderboard.

Honestly, we started out with some very different tactics (ie. fighting foreman on top) and with a mesmer and elementalist instead of guardian and thief, but found that a lot was slower/the same speed so we ended up going back to some of the existing tactics with slight alternations to improve them. And with a dungeon that is 80% made up out of cut scenes there’s only so much that you can do ‘completely different’. There’s new things in there though, it’s not a complete copy pasta which I hope people will notice.

Sorry if there’s some out there that feel like it’s not fair in regards to the all-time record holder or the previous meta one, but idk. There’s plenty of records out there that got replaced just with tiny alternations (or everything ‘copy pasta’ed’ but with a new portal or an npc manipulation) in comparison to the previous records’ tactics so I’m not quite certain why some would be unhappy with this one specifically.

I’m rambling. Record was fun to do so it is what it is. o/

We tried fighting foreman spur on top but he always spun right after we started fighting regardless of if he was frozen or not so it was rather inconsistent. It got pretty messy with him spinning around plus all the adds and would take longer in the end than just pulling and baiting the first one out. One thing we didn’t try was fighting the adds first while someone baited out spin that’d be faster maybe but idk that could go to kitten pretty quick.

It’s not like you can get really creative in these super linear paths where there’s 100 doors you have to clear to continue. There’s only so many ways you can do something. You’re waiting on dialogues most of the time anyways or your team gets teleported ahead if one person triggers the threshold.

The previous record is still from the fgs meta so idk about inflated dps really. Fgs is comparable to now or even slightly better still. The only difference comes on trash mobs which are just trash mobs.
