one of the biggest problems now is the insane difficulty of it. common, how is corpse zerg the only viable strategy. seriously who has done the bomb room without using some form of corpse zerging.. i need at least a few sample sizes of players….

My guild has been running CoF (Magg’s path) for about a week. We record and keep our times of each run. Our highest is currently: 15m 59s – mes, 2 ele, warrior guardian(support). I’m the support guardian in our runs and they always go exceptionally smoothly. The flame room is so simple I do in fact run through it solo while the other four wait at the gate for it to open. I like how if Magg dies in the lava, you cant do anything then reset the whole instance XD
And thats like all the time, he stops walking and moves back and stands in puddles…

I am still waiting for someone to say, oh! my guild/myfriends just did path2 cof without using any form of corpse run. We use this strat, now try it… thats all i need right now then i’ll go and try it and make it a “challenge”

The run is indeed more challenging now; I admit it will be a tall task for fresh 80s without decent exotic gears, but just to share a few tips to make the run more bearable:

1) Magma field – get everyone to hose down the flames while magg follows. He does not get damage from anything except the flames, not even from mobs. He has been patched to be “distracted” by mobs and will attack them, so what you guys have to do is to hose till you reached the ore thingy, then have one dedicated “hoser” while the rest dps any mobs that followed you. That dedicated “hoser” is to prevent Magg from dying from flames respawning on the ground.

Then kill the mob that distracted Magg, allowing Magg to go to the ore thingy to trigger the next step.

2) Keeping Magg alive during countdown timer – This is tricky, and I’m sure there are tons of ways to do it. What my group did successfully with minimal deaths was to dps the **** out of the FIRST ranged mob before running around like chickens distracting the adds. The rationale is to give some breathing space while the countdown is clocking; we found that it helped tremendously.

However, I do agree that this can only be done by appropriately geared party. In other cases, I would like to hear specific strategies on how to deal with them.

Note: The fireballs raining down during the final boss fight has been significantly buffed in terms of damage, as tested by my group while we were running the dungeon. Take some precautions, and the final pillar is still a piece of cake.

Please share best practices so everyone can learn, and then adapt to play in PUGs so everyone can have their tokens.

Honestly, doing Magg is nearly impossible. It’s not fun to keep dying when you cant actually kill the stuff that spawns. If its a lvl 75 dungeon with so many mobs that can 2 hit me, where is the fun in that?

This is not challeging right now, its just frustrating

The dev say you are supposed to beat the mobs that spawn in the bomb room. I really would like to see a video of someone doing that.
