LW S1 huge battles as raids?
I don’t see how this would work or fit into the theme of raids.
Some of those things could be retooled for fractals maybe, they’d fit in there much better.
I dont see how they would work as 10 man raids. Marionette, Breachmaker, and the 3 bosses in lion arch would be 25 man raid content tbh.

To be completely honest my original post was gonna be “how about 50 man instanced content?”…..but I(and thought others would think the same) thought that was too silly or that Anet will never do that :/
They should just bring these back as seasonal events. Maybe then all the QQers would calm their kittens.
All of those fights can be scaled down to 5 man content, even marionette.
Turn them into fractals.
Yeah, fractals is the avenue that they touted as being a way to bring back the best bits and pieces of old content into a playable form.
Has this actually happened? Not since the molten/aetherblade fractals were added, but it’s still theoretically what they’re supposed to be doing.

I don’t understand the lack of new fractal content to begin with, if anything it’s would probably be the easiest to add something to, you don’t need much lore justification for it being there or to fit it into the existing world.
You don’t need design huge new areas, can often reuse mobs and pretty much all other already existing game assets.
At most you need to design a single unique boss or boss like encounter.

And you would have been right with your assumption. I guess the realyl large WoW raids work because they have such a vast pool of people playing. I donĀ“t think that is possible in a game like GW2 if you want to just break the 1% participation barrier.^^

Why should it be scaled back to 5 people content? Then it would loose most of its “epicness”

Because it’s way better investment for resources than 10man content.

I disagree, there is plenty of 5 man content in the game with dungeons and fractals already, if anything we need 25 man instances. If they keep the difficulty unchanged compared to LS1 then it will stay accessible for everyone.
The 25 man raids could be the casual raids while the 10man the current difficulty.

We already have 25-50 man raids, they’re called world bosses.
What it looks like: 99% of the people come to the event, don’t bother to dodge, don’t bother to CC, have no idea what to do, don’t do damage, wear full PTV/cleric gear, don’t waypoint after dying (which they do frequently despite being extremely tanky), don’t read chat, don’t split up where the mechanic encourages it, just zerg along with the commander and hope those 5 people, who actually prepared, will carry them through.
If anything, we need 1 man instanced content, where you’re not relying on other people/carrying newbies who don’t even say thanks. Pretty much everyone can confirm that rather than raids themselves, finding 9 competent players is much more challenging. I can’t imagine having to do that with 24 people (or worse yet – being automatically grouped up with them just like in open world).
When Anet announced “the ultimate challenging group content”, I felt like I was the only disappointed person in the world. Yes, I kinda enjoy raids, but if there’s something I would enjoy way more, it’s ultimate challegning solo content. There’s already plenty of group content, they could – for once – add some solo challenges.

^ This. I miss LS 1 events so much..
