Spooky halloween video time!

Its time for the halloween special video I went and soloed the labyrinthine horror for some fun.

While I expected the fight to be very easy, the kitten unblockable,undodgeable shout is ridiculous and he spams it all the time xD I will now officially take on speedcleansing 1v1 challenges.

Nicely done, and about not being able to do the lich, just simply never use any illusion skills or make sure you shatter them right before he does the summon ez pz.

The one I don’t know how to get is the candy corn guy since he is so close to the entrance I always get help.

True best off using any other class then, but still not very hard, just long and tedious.

I still stand by saying his shout is dodgeable, just instant or almost instant, I can swear I dodged it whirlwinding at a set interval.

I’ll test that out tonight for myself hopefully, it gives me itches. Maybe I am wrong.

Check out 4:35, you can see blur pop up, and I do get an evade frame yes. The scream has a direct damage part as well as a torment+possible bleed effect(see 6:08). The conditions aren’t dodgeable, thought the direct damage is.

Convincing. I’ll still have to do this myself though because reasons.

Being intoxicated each time I attempted this solo doesn’t help at all. An eventful week.

Nicely done Sand! Music is very mood apppropriate as well. Was half expecting to here that FF8 Theme song in there.

From my experience with the scream –
If you dodge, you’ll get an “evade!” pop up and take two stacks of torment.
If you don’t dodge, you’ll take some damage and three stacks of torment.

I’ve only encountered bleeds from his upper cut and whirl, though I don’t have any other explanation for the bleed you get at 6:08 then the shout can apply bleed randomly O-o.

I tried him a bit today, still never finished since I tried to fit hundred blades in too greedily/I agroed something along the way/a rampaging mob of lemmings found me on their way to enxt door.

Not enough to correlate the third torment stack and random bleed with dodging the attack though.

You know who this guy remind me of? He’s like a faster and less forgiving version of Leurent, minus the weapon throw and useless heal. Multi-hitting targetted attack (not sure if Horror’s is targeted ot stupid wide), condition pbaoe, gapecloser, have to alternate active and passive defences to do reasonable damage, at least from a warrior PoV.

“rampaging mob of lemmings found me on their way to next door” – This is my bane when I solo the lich. Even when I think I’ve found an empty map they trundle up when the boss is round 10% HP, summon a million skeletons, the boss lifesteals back up and everyone dies to retal.

From a thief perspective, with that leurent comparison: the problem I was having is I usually use CnD to let my endurance regen a bit if I’m running low, but if I stealth on the horror he books it towards the nearest pack of mobs with his super swiftness. I’ve been trying to learn the timing of pistol-whipping his uppercut but it is sketchy as hell.

I actually just rechecked the video a bunch of times and came to a conclusion.

It seems as if the horror cleanses his own conditions and has a chance of transferring one of his lost condis onto you.

at 6:03 you see me getting 2 stacks of confusion which he removed, I had applied those by having my illusions die because of him (grandmaster minor in dueling)

at 4:51 you can see me getting 7 bleeding stacks he removed from himself which I applied to him due to the bleed on crit phantasm trait

at 7:14 you can see me get a stack of poison, like I applied to him with the reaper of grenth elite

So a condi staff mesmer solo is out of question? :c

Yes the undodgeable torment attack is also a condition transfer. When I did the solo on ele, I had to make sure I applied burning right after he used the attack otherwise it would do massive damage since his condi damage is really high.
