Leader leaving kicks rest of party
No, this does not happen. I’ve been the leader of several groups, and the leader has to do several, very specific, steps to boot everyone out of the instance. Just exiting doesn’t do it. I submitted a bug report about it, so I won’t post it here. The party leader is griefing you if he does this, report him and move on.
Aha…ok, thanks. I was under the impression it was an automatic kick.
Nope as TheRabbit said, it IS possible for a group leader to kick everyone but it doesn’t happen the way you said it.
I was told from a guildmate that it was “fixed” (though, I have yet to experience being booted out for no particular reason) but what would have happened is that the “leader” would have dropped out of the party (or kicked out by vote; as opposed to have left the dungeon) in order for the party to be booted out of the dungeon. The leader is often the person that shows up in the cutscenes of that dungeon, so it’s good to watch the first cutscene or two just to see who the designated leader might be.
The party can also be booted out of the dungeon if the leader also logs out and attempts to change characters (however, the dungeon is still saved if the leader has disconnected and logged in as the same character as before).
I am Fleeting Flash, in-game dungeon cosplayer of Reddit Refugees [RR] .
I heard this occurring in the MK dungeon. so sad some people can’t wait a bit longer for everyone else to get to the chest =/
The starter of the dungeon i.e the one who goes in the gate first will be the leader and IS capable of kicking everyone simply by leaving party. The worst part is the leader remains in the instance when everyone is kicked.
I know cos I did it before…accidentally.
Don’t do that, the game needs less jerks.

Apparently this is what happened. I asked the person who was the leader in the group and that is exactly what he did. Once the instance was finished, he left the group and did not realize this would cause an issue.
Since he apologized and offered to run us through again we were able to finish it satisfactorily. I was under the impression this happened any time the leader left the instance, not just the group.
@ lynspottery
I also find that the leader can never leave the dungeon or group. When I do dungeons in guild, we always negotiate who the leader will be. Aka person that cannot do anything funny at all.
If leader bag is full, tough. Must be able to stay for full run (cannot run off). And must have a good internet connection.

You can mail your trash items to someone and have them send it back in mail to be rid of at another time. Free storage!
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
hehehe…yea, full bags are a concern. But, I am always emptying my bags and especially before I do any runs. I also tend to carry with me at least one of those bank thingy’s we sometimes get from our treasure boxes.
However, I do not know if those portable bank accesses allow others in our group to also access their banks. I’ll have to check that out. In other games many folks have that little portable bank or mail box gizmo that actually helps. Another really helpful item is the portable repair gizmo as well.
