Hello.
I love the game, but for the PvE I don’t see any competition at all. I think Leaderboards would be great for those people including myself that love that kinda stuff. And then some kind of reward for the best weekly record, and the best overall time for completing the dungeon should be saved just for the competition.
I really hope to see this ingame, who share this idea?
Along the same lines, but per dungeon completion, I’d like to see the stats for the party such as who had most DPS, who had most heals, etc. It’s just be nice to see how party members contribute to completion of the dungeon.
The competition in PvE is against the game. I don’t suppose it could hurt to have a fastest times leaderboard, but does it really matter? People who care about that stuff will compare it with each other anyway.
I thought what I’d do was, I’d pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
I think there would certainly be a niche interest in such competition. In addition it would be useful to determine with random PUG member isn’t pulling their weight (way too much damage done, no resurrections, virtually no healing, no combo fields, etc.).

Would be a great event for Guilds to try beat other guilds/groups time.
I definitely share your view on this idea. Leader boards need to be implemented for both PvE and PvP. People just love the challenge and love to compare themselves against others. It’s the human nature.

Added a new elite skill for necromancers: Bump Dead Thread. This skill instantly crashes the Guild Wars 2 forum servers due to the incredible speed at which it bumps dead threads. Revived dead threads will attract Forum Mordrem Trolls that are hostile to the necromancer. Has a chance of attracting Moderators instead of Trolls.
New condition introduced: Flood Control. This condition is inflicted by Moderators and prevents the necromancer from summoning more than one thread in one activation. Upon hitting 25 stacks afflicted targets suffer a permanent forum ban. Stacks duration and intensity.

I’d like to see a challenge mode speed run based, with ingame leaderboards (best time), reset in every balance patch.
Something like if you go for the challenge mode, you need to finish the path under a time limit, if you can you get double final reward, if you fail you get nothing. You can repeat until you succeed. Double reward is only once a day (for path). Best time goes in leaderboard.
They will never implement this, and with good reason. The minute phiw, in full nomad, sees that they can’t be number 1 on this leader board…the forums will explode with endless nerf zerk cries. This would also make a public record of poor performers, likely resulting in a lot of block list adds to keep bads out of speed runs. This would be almost like adding a damage meter to the game. Never forget that ANET was willing to and followed through with a placebo reduction to critical damage….just to appease the phiw crowd…at the expense of our enjoyment of the same game. Don’t think they wouldn’t stoop to doing it again if they all cry in unison. I suspect this is the real reason we never got the fractal leader boards they promised.
