@Fairy. The norn t2 leggings are awesome because they are a skirt. Also viper and magitech skirts are nice. And we can’t ignore the vigil and new medium leggings, though not a skirt they are quite sexy.

So, I finally decided on some personal style, and hoping that I can get some feedback. Arah chest, shoulders and legs, primeval boots, draconic gauntlets with glowing mask. Abyss and Oxblood dyes w/ chalk for the hands.

So my charr guardian was originally female, then it was male, then female, then male, then male, then female, then male again; now I am debating giving it yet another total makeover. It is currently wearing T3/T2/arah armor in glacial teal, onset and pride, it’s just so hard to find good looking non cultural armor for charr, oponions?

Stage 1 of total guardian makeover and I am not sure if I got the head size to body type ratio quite right. I always find it tricky on female charr because of their neck muscles and the way armor tends to fit them. I have gone through so many total makeover kits on this character alone, I might have an addiction.

Also I hate hair clipping with a fiery passion.

Not sure what backpiece: Fractal, Pink Quaggan or Desert Rose

I’d say desert rose but the color really isn’t there. So probably fractal.

My new ranger. Still not sure about the warhorn. I really want to use the tormented warhorn but the purple clashes with the red of the eyes and my armour. So I kind of need an alternative warhorn or ill just stick with howler. :P

Howler is pretty amazing but if you want something different the Inquest warhorn would be nice.

Guys. New photo manipulation commissions (really cheap too) in Fan gen. They did a stunning job on mine, highly recommend. Was only 11g, but I sent extra because it seems like a steal. Here

I am in need of armor colour ideas for a bright yellow sylvari warrior. I used a total makeover kit on her a few days ago with the goal of giving her the freakiest looking sylvari face, but since then I have been drawing a blank for armor colours. My goal is to keep her in some form or combination of TA and sylvari cultural armor, full T2 being a place holder for now, but I can’t seem to come up with a nice vibrant colour scheme that fits.

Halp plz.

I’m pretty sure it can see into a persons soul; but I totally fixed it.

I have also provided a picture of my deaf cat in a pot, as a visual pallet cleanser.

Dyes I love that are yellow: flare is more yellow but: pyre is my #1. Molten can also be nice if you’re shooting for golden orange.

The cheaper dyes that might look wonderful are illumination, redemption. If you’re going for vibrant you will need to have some dark accents in your armor for better contrast. For this I recommend any midnight warm color (midnight yellow if that’s a thing)

I’ve been fooling around with banana, enamelled generation, and molten. I think the yellow is still not quite right, I can’t seem to find a nice yellow that has a pale orange undertone.

Also ignore the half naked sylvari, my guildmate is helping brainstorm the makeover.

Do you have any plant inspiration in mind?

What about adding in other colors than yellow? Purple, or blue, or red/orange?

These are my mesmer and ranger, based of bougainvillea and cordyline.

I was thinking something along the lines of the plant attachment. I’ve got a bit of pale green/leaf green in my skin pattern ad glow, like in the base of the leaves. Yellow and orange, maybe add a bit of orange/pink or salmon accents instead of the warm brown/dark yellow?

I quite like the look of bright tropical plants when making sylvari; pinks/greens/oranges and yellows seem like a nice change of pace from all the flesh tones of human/norn characters.

I mean if I can look like a freakishly bright tropical plant alien; why not?

Interesting. I’ll take this challenge. Mind giving me the names of the two plants you ping me for further research? I think Jerem’s ranger is also a nice example of green with yellow pattern and dark accent. Also, what is the armor name?

I dislike the cone head anyhow…

The first one is a yellow bromeliad, the second is a croton which come in a bunch of different shades, but seem to be predominantly yellow/green/pink or fuchsia. The armor is currently T2 (warden armor), I think T3 (oaken) might be a better option as it seems to dye a bit brighter.

The features of the sylvari I can take or leave, I’m not attached to the cone head at all.

Edit: I’ve now got another friend on a makeover binge on his sylvari, but he is looking at jumping spiders and mantis shrimp for his colour inspirations.

My inspiration is the Yellow Bromeliad. The focus will be on the head, chest and shoulders, and much less on the leg and boots.

Dyes used in each part:

• Helm: Lemonade, Daffodil, Apricot
• Shoulder: Cornsilk, Banana, Apricot, Butter
• Chest: Dijon, Evergreen, Salmon
• Gloves: Moss, Honeysuckle, Bold
• Leg: Jalapeno, Midnight Yew, Spring Moss
• Boots: Midnight Yew, Green Shade, Dijon

I chose Nightmare set over Oaken for their leafy texture, which invokes more tropical lustre than the rough bark texture of Oaken.

I chose either spiky hair or the Scarlet hair, which can be dyed with bright yellow color.

My Sylv has a green color and glow, which shows through the helm and shoulder parts. Your current skin and glow color may make those parts look more vibrant.
