Looking for Knowledge
Sounds like you’re on EU servers
I’d happily extend you an invite for some of our runs with some TS explanations along the way if you were on NA ( sounds like you’re the sort of player who wouldn’t mind using teamspeak either tbh).
Advocate of learning and being a useful party member.

If you have meta builds and have read guides you are already way ahead of most “speedrun exp only” groups. As long as you got enough AP so they don’t blame you for their own mistakes.
I really appreciate you not joining parties if you can’t live up to their expectations.
Most of the time AP doesn’t mean anything in this game. There are players who have little AP but shine when it comes to content, as dungeons or whatsoever.
Since you got some knowledge I would just join a party and tell your party members at the begging maybe, that you’re not used with this particular encounter.
But most of the times, you’re good to go as long as you don’t play like knowing nothing.
Maybe there are some guilds which have players speaking your native language, willing to help you out.
If you were NA, you’d already have an invite to [ARES]. I love your attitude :-)
You should have no trouble finding a teaching group with an introduction like that. Best of luck to ya.
Feel free to message me.
My NA account is an Arah Mentor in [Noob], and so is my EU account (should be easy to find either – Zui.####).
I’d be willing to teach you some dungeons on EU.
also regarding the ingame lfg tool, mostly you can decide to join a “all welcome” group, which is a great thing but is very limited in what you can learn, or a group with requirements (and i won’t join those, since i respect the description and dont want to intoxicate this group with my inexperience :>).
if you know any other possibility to get in touch with s.o. who would like to this to a certain extent please let me know…
If you’ve looked up guides for the paths, either via youtube or the gw2dungeons site, and if you’re upfront with the group upon joining, I have a hard time imagining any LFG group asking for “exp” that wouldn’t accept you.
We’ve all been new, even if some groups can sometimes use a quick reminder, but if the new player asking is friendly and open to learn there’s no way they’d kick you.
i want to thank everyone who replied for their encouragement and nice words, they sparked a courage i havent experienced thus far (im getting carried away) and i pugged my way through 30 fractals the last 2 days. for some reason im always happy if we can fight mai trin, since sandys mesmer solo from a while ago always made me long for this.
zui, thank you for this opportunity, i already partly watched your arah educational tour and i’m really looking forward to this:>
meh, maybe this sounds a bit over-the-top but i’m in a really good mood since im seeing the fractals, ive been reading about at wethospus site, in action.
now i have a new concept: – read guide → apply in pug – judging from the experience reread certain passages (or even just one), enemy skills/animations and immediately apply again ingame, this way i constantly can see that im getting better at a certain thing, even if its one encounter per run.
(maybe im taking this too serious, but im always passionate about what i do)
