The drege agony attack always hit really hard, with or without agony. Double dodge it or dodge+ any survival skill. The boss should die in less than 30 seconds, though. The svanir shaman is also a hard hitter, although I recalled him being not so much of a threat in lower levels. Maybe your party lacked proper defensive support and you just hit attacks your party would usually absorb with aegis/protection.
I’ve done this boss countless times on much higher levels than 10, and I’ve never had this issue before. I mean, I get the mechanics, dodging the AR attack, etc, but it’s never hit this hard, even on higher levels. Just seems off to me.
People with lower AR shouldn’t be one-shotted in that low of a level.

I was in that fractal, and the combat log’s record of how much agony damage was being dealt was much higher than it should have been with 50-70 AR in a level 10. It wasn’t just the boss “hitting hard.”
IIRC, AR gets sometimes bugged and you have to re-equip all your gear to recalculate it.

Yeah this usually happens if you change gear while dead. Especially gear that has AR on it.

I believe the boss uses this skill if someone in the party is attacking it inside a certain range. To avoid this, maintain range away from the boss or double dodge backwards when you see this attack coming. At most, you’ll take one or two hits before you move out of range.

I just join a group with this bug.
The dredge boss would pounce the ground and insta down most people. Even when I’m 3000 yards away I’ll still get hit half hp on warrior.
I left the group since I dont’ have enough time today. Felt pretty bad for those new fractal players since it made it harder than fractal 50.
Not sure what cause the bug, since it is the first time I saw it. Hope Anet fix the bug.
