I guess you need to do 1-2 in order to get a vial, but most of the backs come from the forge (ectos and crafting mats and SP, plus the one vial) not from doing tons of fractals.

and the vial can be farmed (or used to be able to be) solo inside f crafts killing trash mobs, meaning you do not need to actually run them (unless this has been changed).

The backpacks are also ascended, so they give more stats than an exotic.

can you farm for a couple of hour?

If the answer is yes. Just go in fotm poral and keep resetting it till you get the marsh fractal and keep grinding untill you get a vial to drop.

It is really farming not actually doing fractal.

OP, you sound like a typical, modern, casual, entitled gamer. If you want the back-piece, do FotM, or don’t. Get over it.
