Lupicus
He is a bit buggy post patch. He does seem to reset very easily now. He’s pretty deadly with his single target poison toss…. I dont get 1 shot but he’s hit me with 2 in a row in quick succession and downed me. A couple times now he’s gone back to the start of phase 2 and been invulnerable briefly then has summoned up adds.
Its been more difficult but PUG groups I’ve been in have been less than ideal. Even when I am in groups with a couple guardians neither one of them knows how to tank Lup.
Still easy to solo.
^ obviously forgot how pugs work. Incase you don’t know pug-life is hard, its real hard. The vast majority of this games population just isn’t any good at this game to be honest. 9 out of 10 wars i come across run fear me with str/dolyak signet or something close to it. Not everyone spends 10/12 hours learning how to solo
I join these groups that say “experienced players only” and im still only one dodging grubs. Have to change armor sets just to make sure i get argo of p3. Go pug a few times and you’ll realize where this guy is coming from.

If Weth pug he prob just solo the boss and let people die to make it easier. Sadly 99% of my deaths in pugs are from trying to rez downed people.

Nah, I try to keep them alive to keep it more dynamic and chaotic.
Like this one super-tank Guardian who just kept running around whole phase 3 and I could barely hit it.
Today I’ve done Arah (path 3) for the very first time in my GW2 life with pugs ~ only two of them were experienced players and so kindly lead the way. We killed Lupicus at the first try w/o any problem, very smooth, and, honestly, it’s far to be really hard.
I don’t know how Lupi was before the update, but if now it’s bugged/harder, then I’m proud of my group of pugs
EDIT: I forgot to mention that we killed it in 4 because at ~20% HP our mesmer crashed :X

Weth does pug, at least sometimes, doing hardcore run. Death or exploit = kick. You should try that sometimes, it definitetely brings refreshment to boring runs. It’s much more fun than running with same group.

Lupi kiting you!
On the topic, Lupicus (thank god not Lupus) wasn’t changed, still same as before.

The problem is that this game simply doesn’t encourage anyone to be good or get better. That is until they hit lupi. Open world pve – there is no challenge there, if you go down in a large event 5-10 players will pick you up and pretty much every other dungeon boss is just a meat bag. Hopefully all the dungeon improvements coming will add a bit more flair to boss encounters.
I’ve taken a lot of new people to arah/lupi and all of them have done really well. So there are good players out there but I think the game needs to softly test people more and encourage them to get better.

I did him last night with a guild group, 3 players never having seen him before. So it’s certainly possible. I think it’s a fight where you can lucky or unlucky with who Lupi is targeting, and if you’re lucky he’ll target someone who knows when to dodge.
A lot of players simply need to change their play style for Lupi. My thief has two 30pt trait lines that become almost useless for skills I use on Lupi, but that’s still better than going into the fight with my usual weapons/skills.
Did it a few hours ago(p2). Didn’t seem any different from before the patch. As far as I know the only changes to it is that in phase 1 it will prioritize players for grubs before clones/illusions/pets/NPCs and the indirect change to some traits that used to allowed them to dodge out of the bubble without any effort.
As for getting one-shotted, are you playing with the same party composition?
Didnt witness any resetting, getting invulnerable (except for phase changes ofc) and one-shotting. Could it be you were between phase 2 and 3 several times because after initiating phase 3 you allowed him to life-leech back to transition between phase 2 and 3 ?
“War does not determine who is right – only who is left.”
Did him totally fine last night/early morning and 1-attempted.
Lupus is fine and unchanged.
They should give it more multi-target attacks to ensure everyone else dies asap. And give me more teams to join.
Nah, he’s still pretty easy. He keeps you on your toes, but he’s far from OP.
