I’ve done numerous dungeon runs since the game’s release, and content that used to be challenging is now trivial. I know the best return on time (as far as gold) is CoF P1 speed runs. What I’m curious about is if there’s a point where equipping full Magic Find and Gold Boost will make any path almost as lucrative if you do a full clear.

I find speed runs very boring gameplay, and miss the playstyle of older MMOs where a full-clear was not only mandatory but desirable because of the increase in drops. I enjoyed building dungeon groups with the intent of spending a few hours inside killing every mob and boss available, but currently that’s just not worth the time.

Is it possible to make it worth the time, while also making it more challenging, by using Magic Find gear? I don’t know enough about the drop tables to say for sure, so I thought I’d ask the forums and find out more.

What do you guys think?

I guess any dungeon is worth running for loot as they pretty much have the same loot table, every dungeon has small chance to drop exotics too which in my whole time playing since release I’ve only ever got 1 or 2 exotic 80’s from dungeon drops with no boosters.

I heared HoTW is also a pretty easy quick dungeon to run (not sure which path) but i can’t really say which is best for loot and money return in full clears as I’ve not done every dungeon path yet, though I’ve found CoE good to run for charged cores and lodestones, one time i got 1 lodestone and 2 cores in 1 run.

I would suggest if you want to use MF and clear a dungeon you try some fractals. This will certainly put you to the test depending on the difficulty and the rewards scale up to a point (somewhere around 40-50).

It totally depends on what you’re after, imo.

I run magic find gear in lower level fractals (up to 20 ish) and usually in the Solid Ocean Fractal (still very easy on higher levels). Dredge Fractal has very nice loot, as well as the possible vials of powerful blood in the Asuran Fractal.

In other dungeons I usually don’t bother anymore. It is not worth killing most of the mobs whether you’re wearing mf gear or not, the drops are just horrible. I prefer killing stuff I can’t skip as fast as possible and mf gear is detrimental in that regard.

I would consider buying an increased gold drop infusion, if you’ve got laurels to spare, for dungeons.

edit: also, using increased mf/goldfind food doesn’t hurt in any regard. Most of the time.

Im still not sure about MF I will need to test it more, if friends etc need low level Fractals I will run a full MF set.

Yesturday I did a lvl 12 fractals with full MF gear and came out with 9 rares, 2 exotics, and 2 charged cores, now that’s fairly decent, I then did a lvl 20 later in the day with no MF gear, and didn’t get a single rare, exotic, core nothing, all blues and greens…….will test it more though.

Well, RNG is RNG, and if you got any of the rares/exotics/cores from the chests, then let me tell you, mf doesn’t affect chests, at all.

Both the exotics dropped from enemies, not bosses just random enemies, 5 of the 9 rares where drops also, everything else was chest, so far I haven’t had anything close to that again, I see people running lvl 40+ and getting crap for drops, its pointless, everyone might aswell just join the CoF farm train, they get better rewards for it.

I MF L48 FotM Ascalon fractal sometimes when I’m particularly bored of other things. The nice part about it is that the NPCs do most of the work anyway, so you don’t have to waste anyone else’s time and can just solo it (although if others want to come along it certainly speeds things up). I’ve gotten more than a few exotics from it (nothing good), and a bunch of rares, but that’s basically it. It’s not terrible, but it’s certainly not as productive as spamming CoF 1 and then just buying whatever you want.
